Originally by: Bellum Eternus Frankly, I can't wait for Trinity. I fly all four races of ships (not every ship in every class, but the best in each class), but I fly a lot of Gallente ships because they suit my play style.
The upcoming changes really hurt a lot of Gallente ships, but I'm all for it. The drone changes will be great. I'm fighting at gates almost 100% of the time, and I always have aggro from the gate guns. I never get to use drones anyway, so no big deal there. The drone nerf just means that It'll be easier for me to kill the opposing drones, as I can't deploy mine anyway.
The Eos and Myrm nerf is great. I think that probably half the people who currently fly these ships will stop after the next patch. Couldn't be happier, as I hardly ever fly the Eos, and never fly the Myrmidon. 5x heavies and no replacements is lousy, and the ship just isn't worth it without the 5x heavies, and I can't even use those while fighting on gates anyway. I am kind of disappointed that the Eos is losing it's 5th mid, but oh well.
Sensor booster nerfs, damp nerfs, lots of nerfs... well, except to Caldari ships. I can't wait for the ECM buff. All my friends fly Rooks and Scorpions and Falcons. Remind me to get their home numbers and put them on speed dial for when I'm sitting around solo and get blobbed to hell by those darn noob anti-pirates.
Damp nerf is great. It's so huge that even the guys flying Gallente recons won't be flying them much anymore. I'm totally maxed out with my damp skills and Gallente Recons, and the huge hit to performance that the damps are getting will really just completely erase the Recon ship's performance in gangs, as you can't spread your damps out over multiple targets and achieve any sort of effectiveness. Since I never fly my damp ships in gangs, doesn't really matter much to me anyway. Fewer damp ships in enemy gangs is a good thing.
Maybe with all the Gallente nerfs coming up, we'll here fewer whines about how overpowered everything else. Then again, probably not.
You're not very good at this. |
