Vistilantus	Posted - 2004.03.04 23:37:00 - [1] Like the title says, i would LOVE to see the re-introductions of NPC Convoy escorts and not just crappy little escorts, but some cruiser level defences for the haulers. Hunting NPC Convoys is too easy, and the loot is mostly crap, so i vote that they introduce hauler escorts, and make the loot more valuable. 14 missile launchers and 21 75mm rails suck. Give me a convoy with 2 cruiser escorts and BP loot, high spec module loot, and things like 250mm rails, heavy beam lasers, even tach's if accompanied by BS escorts..... what d'ya think? ~Vistilantus ~I don't Have an attitude problem, YOU have a perception problem.

IF the escorts would consist of realistic ones, so not executioners with medium pulses or ospreys with 2 250's and 1 heavy launcher. It would have to be a bs or quite a few cruisers to justify that kind of loot. It would also give a more realistic feel in the universe, since the empires seem to have everything and build everything, but never ever do we see a npc miner Gamersland.nl, DE site voor PC gaming!

The convoy containing the primo loot, like a BP...could be 1 cargo ship, a bunch of cruisers gaurding... 5 or 6 maybe...and throw in a bs command ship as well. Yeah the drops from convoys can bite. Frankly, I'm only doing it for RP reasons anyway. What really bugged me is that I can take down a three ship convoy in less than five minutes in my Vexor. And my combat skills are really bad. I mean, I can only use frigate turrets, for goodness' sake. I think higher level convoys, with better loot (possibly including logs to scenarios) and dedicated escort ships, would be a "cheap" way to enrich the convoy system and faction privateering. More ambitious, I'd like to see a true privateering system. I.e., you purchase a "Letter of Marque" for yourself or your corporation (more expensive) from NPC factions. Having a letter allows you to gain faction for killing their rivals or enemies. I can see the Caldari corps using this kind of "aggressive marketing" against the Gallente and each other. - - - - I have measured and described the stars, their great and countless multitude. What man has seen their revolutions and entrances? Agreed, people should not have more ways off earning huge statshes off cash inn empire. However i kinda like the idea so i suggest: A agent type that gives out kill missions(bookmarks) for convoys that is ""flying"" thru 0.0 space..
