This is the official announcement of the formation of the Combat Applications Group (CAG). The CAG is a U.S. time zone (only) corporation. I am forming this corporation for two reasons. 1.)An exclusive corporation for all the U.S. players that miss the action in the major Euro organizations. 2.)Fun.
IÆve been playing Eve since beta on various different characters and in various different corps and alliances. They all have their positives and their negatives. This corp is formed, hopefully, to have only the positives. IÆve come to realize several truths about Eve. First, the major players in Eve, corps and alliances, are far and above all European or non-U.S. organizations. I just recently got out of one of the best corps/alliances in the game. The corp was D00M, the alliance Triumvirate. Top notch in every way, but for months I would log on to see mails ordering the form up for a MAJOR op, only to notice it starts several hours after I go to bed. Or, IÆd log in and see that a MAJOR battle, POS takedown, or something along those lines had happened while I slept.
Another issue that has really soured Eve for me lately is that most corps/alliances like to tell YOU how to play. Say youÆre a hard core PVP player, but log on and want to mine, run missions, or run a complex for isk. You dare not announce that fact in most of the alliances today. I actually remember having fun providing support for major corp mining ops many years ago. Sit back, chat on TS, and drink some beer while your making isk. What if everyone wants to get together and run a complex? WhatÆs wrong with that? Or say you are tired of 0.0 and want to kill some haulers in low sec, or dec some smack talking empire corp for fun, or take a merc contract and kill some research POS. Just because it doesnÆt fit into the ôBig Planö for your corp or alliance doesnÆt mean the individual should be punished and not be able to have fun. As far as ôbluesö go, we wonÆt have any unless itÆs extremely beneficial to the corp and its members. NBSI will be a corp policy.
Got a real life, wife, kids, job, etc..? You wonÆt get any evemails from CAG leadership if you have real life issues and canÆt play a video game. This corp is meant to be a stress relief and meant to serve its members, not the other way around. You wonÆt be required to do anything you donÆt want to.
CAG will not be a PVP corp, a carebear corp, a merc corp, a pirate corp, nor will it fit into any standard corp mold. CAG will be ALL of these things, depending on what is the most fun for its players at the time. Yes, we may eventually get some big fancy plans and take some space or something, but thatÆs only if its fun and what the members want to do for that week. Another goal of the corp will be to make every member extremely wealthy. Motherships for all I say!!! The key word is FUN!!
Also, I would like our players to have fun outside of Eve. Be it playing some BF2, TF2, COD 4, or all getting together and drinking some beer once a year at a BBQ. Fun and camaraderie are key.

This is what IÆm looking for:
-U.S. Time zone players tired of being left out or told how to play -10mil SP minimum. (May be waived, so apply anyway) -Will need to provide screen caps, API key, and other verification methods. -Teamspeak use a definite plus (We wonÆt deny people for this, as we know some very good pilots may be deaf or unable to speak) -Capital Pilots a major plus -Players who want to help build CAG into a powerhouse from the ground up in leadership positions (20mil Sp to be considered for leadership positions) -People with webmaster and graphic design skills -People who want to play the whole spectrum of games with their corp mates. -People who want to work as a group to make massive amounts of isk -People who want to have FUN!!!
IÆve been shopping corporations for something that fitÆs my play style, but came to the conclusion that IÆd have to make a corp to find what I wanted. IÆm looking for players that want to build a corp that serves them and makes them look forward to logging into Eve. I hope to have the following in place in the coming weeks
-Really cool corp logo -Killboard -TS server -Forum -IRC server
All of which IÆm gonna need help getting into place. So if youÆre tired of playing Eve like a job, or just want to help build a major U.S. corporation, convo me in game or Evemail me.
You can apply for the corp at Dantumi 5 - Moon 19 û Science and Trade Institute School. Join in-game channel ôC.A.G Recruitmentö to chat.

Edited by: illusha on 21/11/2007 01:21:00 Here is a bump for you. Starting a corp is hard and recruiting people is also very hard; especially when its Americans you are trying to get. I tried this myself a couple of times and it didn't work out. Good luck with it.

Thanks, I figure it will be pretty hard, but hopefully there are some disgruntled U.S. pilots out there looking for a change.
