Edited by: Cap0 on 21/11/2007 06:30:46 I just took a quick look at the ship setup index and was surprised to see no setups for the amarr blockad runner. So here are my normal fits.
LowSec Setup
High -Improved Cloaking Device II
Mid -Medium Shield Booster II -10mn Microwarp Drive II
Low -Nanofiber Structure II -Warp Core Stab I x3
NoSec Setup High -Improved Cloaking Device II
Mid -Medium Shield Booster II -10mn Microwarp Drive II
Low -Nanofiber Structure II x2 -Inertial Stabilizers II x2
Rigs (Same for both setups) -Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer I -Auxiliary Thrusters I
The only reason for the difference between the two setups is that in 0.0 your biggest asset is speed to get you out of bubbles/back to the gate.
With this setup depending on skills you get around 2.5k/s and have enough of a tank to get you back to the gate.
Im interested to hear what other people use so please speak up =)

Seams fine, but you could swap this MWD II for a named one and free up some PG for a medium extender or an invu II...probably better to add some buffer than a shield booster, as any kind of tank is used only in re-approaching scenarios.
A Medium Shield Extender adds more than 10 circles worth of a Medium Shield Booster II. You gain some 24% more effective HP while loosing less than 5% speed
Oh, and I think that all you need in both low sec / 0.0 space is agility to warp out instantly to the next gate. Warp speed is more than adequate.
My best bet would be for 2x Inertia II + 2x Nanofiber II for lows and 2x Low Friction Nozzle Joints I rigs - due to lag, most ppl will not even get a lock on you - even SB ceptors can't, cause due to Overview lag you are 90% to aligning / warping as soon as you de-cloak. Practically you're as-fast-as a Ceptor with these agility mods. And make that a stabbed ceptor...
For bubbles you can always try to re-aproach, but a better tactic would be a fast "double-click + MWD + cloak" - you gain enough speed to carry you away before ppl actually notice you location. If you are concerned about you speed while cloaked, I would replace a Nanofiber with an Overdrive II, not a rig. This method can save you 99% of the times even from bubbles stopping you far away from the gate.
Only heavy lag can really trouble you, and the remote chance of someone being able to de-cloak you. I did some testing with a corp m8, and that's really remote even when you are "expected"...far from the case in most camps. I am he, the bornless one

Wont 2x polycarbons lower your align time more?
With 2x polycarbons I get a max speed of 2.7k and 2.5 seconds align time with my skills. Thats with 2x inertia II and 2x nanofiber II. The new heavy dictors with the warp focusing script are meant to have unlimited warp disrupt strength (so I was told, not 100% sure if thats true) so more warp core stabs wont help you if faced with one of those in the future. Your only hope is to align before being warped or outrunning it, and from what I hear the broadsword can get faster than a 3k/s (again not solid fact). If true you're down to aligning before they can lock you or make it back to the gate.
With low friction nozzle joints I only get 2.3k max speed and 2.6 seconds to align.

Thanks for the replies guys, you have really given me something to think about.
I will be swapping out that booster for the extender for sure.
As for the different rigs, at 45mill a pop they are a bit to much for my budget but i will keep them in mind if the price ever comes down.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get out of the new heavy dictor bubbles in a blockade runner?
With out the MWD running back to the gate wont be an option..

Prorator has to be my all time favourite ship! This ships got me through so many gate camps and great for emergency POS fuel runs. Since the agility boost to runners and the increased implementation of AOE warp disruption align time isnt your main priority anymore. You need to evade the intys from getting within scrambling range of you long enough to clear the warp buble, that means speed is key.
Despite the runners level bonus the sheild boosters pretty useless, if your ever in a position where you need to tank in this ship your already dead, I know the idea might be to "tank" long enough to reach the gate but in that position you realy can't afford anything else using up your cap, keeping your MWD going is essential. I'd also advise against downgrading your MWD to named unless its faction or gives you more speed boost than the tec2 variant.
Heres my setup:
High: Cloak
mid: 10mn Microwarp drive II Cap recharger II
low x4 Nanofiber internal structure II
Rigs: x2 Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Implants: Rogue set.
This gives you optimum survivability and won't cost you insane amounts of ISK. When you jump into a camp you've got 30 seconds before you uncloak so take in your suroundings, take into account which direction your ships currently facing, where are the holes in their camp? How many intys do they have and what are their positions? When your ready align towards a hole in their camp and to an ojbect you can warp to.
If you suspect a camp may be awaiting you when your already in warp, activate autopilot and let it take charge of your gate aproach/jump. A common mistake runner pilots make is approaching the gate manualy and then bumping off it as their going at such extreme speeds though you should also be aware that sometimes lag can mean theres a delay in the activation of AP.
I've been flying my Silver Love Bug for a year now and it has yet to let me down! Hope these tips help you evade those nasty camps.

The final setup i have decided on is the following
High: Improved Cloak
mid: 10mn Microwarp drive II Medium Shield Extender II
low 1x Nanofiber Internal structure II 3x Inertia Stabilizer II
Rigs: x2 Polycarbon Engine Housing I
I chose the Shield extender over the recharger simply because you get over a minute of cap with your microwarp on. If your still in trouble at that point point the chances are your not getting out alive. Also after messing around in EFT i found that the mix of 3 inertia stabs to 1 nano gives the fastest align time while only making a marginal difference in top speed.
Still im interested to know how useful this setup would be against a heavy interdictor bubble. What would be your best option for escape?
