Eris Discordia again has weilded her iron fist. When attempting to have a players discussion about CCP's moderation of the forumns.....it was locked by eris with the excuse that moderation discussion is not allowed. After carefully reading the rules, they state no such thing.
Here is a perfect example of what i was talking about. they dont like it, you dont read it. Eris has found a thread that she does not like and locked it, even thought this thread had NOT violated any of the forumn rules. She has censured further discussion and in turn has made my case for me.

You are not allowed to discuss forum moderation on this forum, as that could put Polaris in a bad light, and that must be avoided at all cost!

Edited by: Zarquon Beeblebrox on 05/03/2004 14:55:08 When i started playing EVE. I had friends already playing. The firs patch i experienced i was shoked how litle confidend my friends had in CCP. I was verry supportive towards CCP. I was friendly and behaved on forums. But it did not go a long time beeing active on this forums before CCP had turned my good mood towards them to something close to hate.
CCP suck, Polaris suck.
They have no clue at all. Its like this is run by bush.

Rule #3, #4, #5, #6, #8, #9 and #12 covers this, especially #8 and #9.
(Seems to be some info missing in rule #2)

Quit whining and buy your own forum if you want to discuss things that get locked here. These people have a thankless and HARD job to do and they do what they are supposed to. Like anything where someone has power, if you don't like it go somewhere else. There are free forums all over the net. ------------------------------------- // The views expressed by this poster are not the views of the poster's corporation, alliance, planet or television network... but they should be. |

Then why are you playing EVE? I for one also get a bit "angry" when they fail to support my losses due to bugs 'n' stuff, but hey, they aren't doing such a bad job really. I just think certain people should be more constructive on communicating their ideas. In fact i get angrier when players harass others because they dont share the same opinions. One example is the way pirates feel "special", thinking they are entitled to "special" treatment in the game. They even insult other players who dont share their opinions. We all have our opinions about the game and how we should play it. If you know how to communicate your ideas, maybe CCP might listen to them. Follow the rules, and complain in an appropriate manner. And respect other players above all.

No warning or ban was discussed. what was mentioned was your locking of threads. nothing more. and regards to your rule #9....funny it was there in your link, however, if you click on rules, below the category of forumns on the left side of this page, it curiously does not appear there.HHHHMMMMM

Thug-like dictators rule over whole nations of people and torture and kill whomever they like. They keep food away from the unfortunate people under their rule, and they build palaces from aid money. You might want to rethink your comparison of this to moderators of a video game forum run and funded by a private company where you have the perfect right to log in and out as you please.

Be respectful of others at all times. The purpose of the forum is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas. Occasionally, there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Be courteous when disagreeing with others. It is possible to disagree without being insulting.
Most important one in my opinion... read it a few times please.
