Bug found and fixed. I will release the fix later today,
The bug was in the data creator. It sometimes returned the Tech II blueprint typeID instead of the product typeID.

I have 3 characters in my account and 1 api-key assigned to them. For 2 characters (with no market orders) the update works fine, the third character with market orders does not update the market orders (not allowed yet) - even after a good nights sleep and no api-pulls for 9 hours (checked api-log on website). The update just stopped working 2 days ago - the rest is working. Any idea how to fix this? |

The "not allowed yet" warning, is shown until the cache time have not run out yet. If you're getting it after two days, I expect it's an error.
Solution 1 (If you don't mind losing historical data):
1) Delete the API Key
2) Add API Key again
Solution 2 (saves historical data):
1) Close all instances of jEveAssets
2) Go to settings location (see: ReadMe)
3) Open the "profiles" directory
4) Edit the "#Default.xml" file (open with notepad - or another UTF-8 capable XML/text editor)
5) Find all instances of: marketordersnextupdate="[some number]" and replace with marketordersnextupdate="0" (that is a zero).
6) Save the changes and open jEveAssets again.
If you get the error again, it's one of two things:
1) jEveAssets parse the API date string wrong.
2) The API return a wrong cache time.
The only way to figure out which is for me borrow you API Key.
I hope this will solve your problem, if it doesn't, just reply here again.

I'm new to this program but it is very nice. It has much data. I like it.
I am looking to find items that are worth reprocessing on the market. I have found where I input my skills. I see the market price and reprocess price. Is there a field that shows the delta between the two so it is easy to find the items to buy that I can turn a profit on reprocessing? |

jEveAssets only get the price data from items you own and price data is not 100% accurate (as prices are a range of values).
Never trust the price in jEveAssets, always check in-game, to be 100% sure. You have been warned 
In the Assets tool:
"+ Reprocessed" column shows the difference between price and reprocessed (reprocessed - price).
"% Reprocessed" column shows the difference in percent

Try these solutions:
1) Re-download program and data from the website
2) Rename the .jeveassets directory (see: Readme for the location)
3) Send the eveassets.log log file to me (see the the link above) and I will debug it.

Im facing the Issue that the Programm is crashing at startup with Java Platform SE binary stopped working. Is that just my Problem or a general Issue. (System W10 Build 10041, i7-4770k, R9-290)
Edit: Nevermind. I`ve tracked it down and it was a problem with the 64bit Java Runtime. With the 32bit one enabled everything runs fine. |

Hi.
Thank you very much for the wonderful tool.
I have encountered a problem with jeveassets update.
Couple of weeks ago jeveassets started crashing after updating (fetching assets from APIs).
The error message after the crash advises to use jmemory file in the program folder. The file does not help.
Has anyone encoutered this error? If yes, is it fixable? |

I'm having the exam same issue and have been for almost a month. I thought I had fixed it a week or two ago. I re-installed everything from scratch and set up all my APIs, and it worked again for about a week, but now I'm back to having the same issue.
Basically, when I go to update everything, it all works nicely until it gets to Fetching current prices (just as aside, I don't think it's the actual fetching of prices that causes it, as it will crash even when there is still a delay left before fetching is allowed). It will then hard crash Java so badly that I have to use the Task Manager to kill everything including the Java(TM) Platform SE binary (32 bit) process. I can tell from task manager that the crash is a critical error, but nothing more. Every now and again it will ask me to run jmemory.jar, but that seems to do nothing (not sure if it matters but this system has 16GB of ram).
Once this happens the first time, it will continue to happen every time thereafter. Restarting the program, the machine, waiting days, nothing will help other than a complete re-install.

jmemory.jar does work most of the time, but, it doesn't work all the time (I do not know why).
Try the following from the command line (in the jEveAssets directory):
java -Xmx4g -jar jeveassets.jar
You can also make a bat file if you're on wondows.

First, thank you so much for this awesome program. As an industrialist to dabbles in a little of everything, if I was told I could have only one external program to use, it'd be this one. I've been using it twice a day almost religiously since last June. Set up some way to give donations, and I'll gladly buy you a beer or two. Anyway, I went ahead and ran the command you suggested, this was the output:
C:\OPSEC\jEveAssets>java -Xmx4g -jar jeveassets.jar
Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx4g
The specified size exceeds the maximum representable size.
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

Thanks for the tip - it worked perfectly. It does suck that we lose the logging features. I've got perfect records going back to June, and would like to continue. But at the end of the day, just knowing my networth as quickly as jEveAssets provides it is huge in itself for me.
