Why is it that I've done heaps of searching and still haven't been able to find the release date for Trinity? Did CCP really not provide one and leave us with a general "sometime in November"? Well it's 23rd of November now so there really isn't that much time left to release it "sometime" this month is there? Does that mean it's actually going to be "sometime in December"?
If at all possible could CCP clarify this? Is the deadline still sometime this month?

Sometime this winter. Which technically includes next Jan and Feb AFAIK.

I wouldn't worry too much. After all the new engine is already deployed on sis and it seems to be runnin smooth.
The real stuff can't be off long.
NOTICE: I say graphics engine, not the actual graphics :)

I believe that Wrangler posted before Fanfest that the release date would be either November or December, and that he'd narrow it down to one or the other if he scored enough free beer at Fanfest.
Was someone too stingy?
Seriously, I think that I'd rather not have artificial deadlines, and make sure it is fully tested and ready for deployment. If that means it's on a week to week basis and CCP doesn't want to build up false hopes then that is fine with me.

There was a post I read the other day where someone had made the same point and Wrangler said it would be sometime this winter. So....technically it's anytime between December 21 and March 20.

Errr, what do you mean 'wrong'? The new graphics engine *IS* already deployed on SiSi. You can go test it now. It's the improved version of the current engine built on DX8 and shows some architectural improvements.
[The DirectX9 content, however, is not yet deployed; and probably will not be until release].

Its not comming out on the 27th its comming out this winter. Which means between now and march of next year.

Sorry to burst the bubbles of those that saw a gold bar next to the topic on the forum and took a look in the hope that a date was mentioned, but we have not yet announced the deployment date for EVE: Trinity, nor have we uploaded the patch notes. When we feel the patch is ready for deployment, we will make an announcement and it will not be possible to miss it on the site.

Kieron, thanks for the reply. I guess I missed the post where you guys discounted Dr E's statement about Nov 27 in his QEN. (search for November) So, is there a date in December after which nothing will happen? So as not to screw up the Christmas holiday playtime of people?

Aye, but I think they revised it and took out the release date. Either they wanted it to be a surprise, or that was the planned release date before something got fubar'd and made them delay it a bit.
In any case, it'll be here when it gets here, no sooner, no later.
