We don't know. It would be a good idea to make sure your OS supports multiple CPUs first, because if it doesn't then no program running on it will either.
Originally by: Jim McGregor I felt the disturbance... it was like a million voices suddenly stopped whining for a second. Unfortunantly it then continued.

IMO at least Windows 2000 server and higher supports multiple CPU/cores.

Good question and still no answer, it concerns most people with a computer <1 year old and to be honest, I hope ccp are with the times a little to support it. As for the OS, Get yourself Windows XP Pro x64, that will solve all your problems, allow you to get the full 4gb (or more) real memory) and supports all your cores. But still the game needs to properly support the cpu to be any good.

Edited by: Caine Azuris on 24/11/2007 08:33:03 Multi Core CPU support at this point in time would be nothing more than a novelty. There is a reason most software and OS dont support it fully .... becuase programs dont need them yet. That and programmers still dont code for it. So CCP is very much with the "times". And I dont belive Trinity will support multi core cpus although I could be wrong. Oh and just becuase your OS will use your cpus independently doesnt mean programs will, they BOTH have to support it. ------------

Eve doesn't really need support for multiple cores, i can run 2 accounts on a old single core pc quite easily and on my C2D machine there's no difference, apart from i can do a lot of stuff in the background like encoding video while playing.

I set one client on each core when needed, works like a charm.
Not sure if ti would be much better performance if it was able to use 2 CPUs... -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !
