With the exception of Evefest, when is the best time to visit Iceland?
Thinking of April/May 2008, but open to suggestions for other times of the year.
Also looking for recommenadations for hotels, only ever stayed at the Nordica?

april and may are still way too cold and spring hasnt hardly started yet.
june is ok, but still very chilly. it is the brightest month though.
july is the best month. warm and sunshine 24/7. but it is also the peak tourist season.
august is as warm as july but then there are acctually nights then. but it is in august when we have the most parties. all kinds of celebrations then.
sept/okt are nice as well. autum is beautiful. the moss and bushes turn fiery. its cold but beautiful and cheaper than the peak tourist season.
christmas is very nice as well. if you dont mind only 4 hours of dim daylight. but you¦d have the northen lights.
as for hotels. they¦re all expensive, sorry. there are some hostels that are cheaper. eve-mail me when and if you decide, i¦d look into it for you.

ahem!!! its not rotten. its been preserved in its own juices. no bacteria is present in the shark.
but yeah, dont taste it unless you¦ve got hair on your balls.
edit: also, just to prevent any a common, dangerous misunderstanding, the icelandic horse is not a pony! calling it a pony will get you killed.
