There is plenty of evidence to support the OP claim that "goonswarm" is evil. Not because they are winning or they kick ass but because of their hypocrisy with just a small example linked in my sig.
I don't know about Bob but i dont see any evidence to show they are purposely trying to hijack forums, game companies reputation or their reported in game antics. Ruin EVE? Some Goonswarm members gloat, destroy EVE Online

Honestly: Goonswarm doesn't control my thought of EVE. Also it is hypocritical if Goonswarm would even try. Im sure they love to PLAY EVE just as much as the next person.
I believe it up CCP to take control of problem (Not us or our Opinion)
(Dig a hole)
Children playing games always lead to someone doing something. "I want to be the winner attitude" been around for years.

WHAT? I would like to know where you can buy beer at a bar that cheap in Iceland????
average beer at a bar in Iceland costs about 600 ISK
1$=63 ISK (62,76)
2160*63=136.080
136.080/600=226,8
so you can buy only about 227 beers for your 4 years

Truth is, on both sides are people, who were/are willing to use every advantage they can get.
And don't *you* forget that the members of the cheating alliances are only a portion of the total EVE playerbase.
There are MANY more of us who aren't in your cheating alliances, who remember well all the cheating that's been made public, by all the alliances who've done it. And we consider all of those cheats to be pathetic, lowlife scum who should all have been kicked out of EVE a long time ago, regardless of whether they're BoB, Goon, RA, whatever.
But enough of the flaming derailment of this thread. To the OP I just say grats on 4 years of fun and here's to four more \o/

I was not trying to say any given high-profile alliance was better then the other. From my point of view they are all so entangled in their "gaming" it simply isnt a game any more. Therefore its absolute likely all high-profile alliances and their players abuse bugs, devs, GTC and metagaming wherever they can. Its a simple necessity of their playstile.
I just do not like attempts to whitewash such things. BoB is a successfull alliance. But they are no heroes. They did benefit from cheating. Maybe others did as well, but that only means they are all "not good" in a sense that they are bad players and hurt eve.

They aren't exactly playing the same game. Thats why you might see them as evil, when really they just play different games. Why win wars with internet spaceships when you can win forum wars?

Its called Eve, EVE or EvE not under any circumstances is this game to be called eVe. You have clearly gotten it wrong since day 1. Please, just call it Eve. I am willing to pay you for it. Just name a price and we most likely can work something out.
At least get your facts before you nerf signatures, You just removed the picture of a dead Santa, and not the text where he was told to just pay the ransom, and THEN it was eve related
