Ejecting someone from their ship is a terrible idea, but I do agree that piracy has taken a huuuge hit in profitability in the last six months to a year or so.
Warp to zero, the massive drop in pricing for T2 loot and the huge probe nerf introduced after probing was made reasonably effective are all major contributors to reduced profits.
This is one reason why high-sec ganking is so prevalent. It's one of the most profitable ways to pirate with respect to ISK/hour.

This. I'm only really making money when I fly frigs around due to the small cost of loosing ships, and people will blob a T1 frig in the Tama area sometimes;)
Flying big ships typically ends with me being somewhere in the grey zone (or worse), though - cheap ships are ftw.
At any rate, I think the OP's idea is preety bad. It'd mean, either it'd be exploitable, or it'd really suck for the victim, and I don't want them to loose -too- much, else they won't be able to afford the new ship.
I think salvaging corpses would be much nicer

I've had ships survive under 50% structure and it happens more than you could imagine.
Based on this information, horrible idea. Duncan Bannatyne

IMO what has ruined lowsec profit and population most is the removal of the low end static plexes. Nothing quite like catching a faction fit zealot or cerberus on its way to quickly clear a 3/10. And then running it yourself and finding out the easy way how much Gistii small shieldboosters are worth.
Before they took them out plenty of people went to lowsec cause some reward was offered for the risk...now the only reason to go through lowsec is because its quicker to get to Jita or Rens through lowsec and people risk it.

You know, if you place a Mobile Large Warp Disruptor close to a gate in 0.0 people should one drop out of warp 52 km earlier and two won't get away from the gate. I know, this will disable your ability to get away, too... --- This is your Captain speaking. Thank you for flying with our spaceline. Please remain seated until the ship has completely burned out. Thank you. |
