Edited by: Ahura KoS on 25/11/2007 01:48:39 I had two choises....
1st) Caldari - Deteis - Scientist - Soldier 2nd) Caldari - Achura - Monk - Soldier
I am not really interested in trade or mining and i am so far behind in Skill point compare to some of you old players that i need to concentrate on one thing so i decided on focusing for PvP.
I will be using missile and eventually some sort of slow ship but with long range. (from what I read so far raven seem like a good option)
Ok between my two choices I went with Caldari Dettis and this pilotĘs stats are...
7 Charisma (i did +1 on this from that 5 points which i can move around) 12 Intelligent (i did +2 on this) 12 Perception (i did +2 on this) 7 Willpower (didnĘt add anything here) 7 memory (didnĘt add anything here)
Now my question, before i start doing skills etc, how would you rate this stats build? (If you could tell me itĘs Pro or Cons for a long run, that will help me greatly)
From what I read on forums, I know charisma has very little use in PvP but i did +1 just incase if anything (maybe a new skill) in future is added that requires that.
Is 7 Memory and 7 Will power too low and would it cause any problems for me?
Thank you.

Skills vs attributes There is no point in added charisma to your character. The best bet is to put +3 perception and +2 int. Those 2 stats relate the most to training a combat pilot with main skills using PER and support skills using INT.

Seems ok, but I'd switch the +1 charisma for +1 memory imo.
Learning skills and iirc drones require memory, so it's nice to have. Other than that, Intelligence and Perception are already high.
Seems like a decent char there:) ------------------------------------------------ Ooooh look at me, I'm a signature! |

This is a bit of a misnomer. New folks need to specialize highly. Try to find a race of ships that suit your general demeanor, and then look for ship classes that appeal to you. Frigate based? Cruiser based? Battleship based? Work for one of those and eventually you will be doing well.
Welcome to the Game By the way :)
Starting out is daunting, especially when you are looking down the road at ships that take years of skilling. Don't look at those just yet :) By the time you get there they will have changed dramatically. 3 month and 6 month skill training goals will suit you much better.
Lastly, those players that have tons of sp's, about 35mil+ are crossed trained. They are good at a few things. The only way to compete is to niche out initially and then broaden your trains :) Has worked for lots of players and will continue to be the best route to enjoying the game while staying relatively competitive.
