If you can deliver to Oursulaert, please mail me. I would buy a lot and pay Jita's SELL price.

Originally by: Calel At the moment I've not seen any real climb in price in my location and I normally manage to sell my trit weekly for 2.6 - 2.7.
I wish I was one of the people that are ripping you off like this. Like others have said, the price for trit is around 3.2 in Jita and maybe a little lower in other hubs (3.1 - 3.2). I hope for your sake that you're a long long way away from all these hubs otherwise you're really wasting your ISK making other players rich (well maybe they're your friends and you don't mind giving them your ISK, hope for your sake they appreciate your gesture and give something in return).
If you have a direct highsec route to jita, let's say 20 jumps, and you're counting transportcosts of 500k p/jump for 85 million trit (see "sell orders" for freighter services with that price), one freighterload of your trit is still worth:
(85 million trit x 3.2) - (20 jumps x 500k transport cost) = 262 million ISK
which boils down to a value for your trit of:
262 million / 85 million trit = 3.08 p/unit
As you can see, the only reason for you selling below 3.0 would be that your trit is in lowsec or 0.0, which dramamicly increases transportcosts (an additional 5 million per lowsecjump by one hauling company, 2.5 million p/lowsecjump for another one, but they might be out of business).
Players like yourself allow others to earn billions per month of of your hard work, so on behalf of all those players:
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

There is another possible factor in your trit selling for less than other places. Volume. If (between yourself and other locals) buyers can't get the required hundreds of millions of units to do anything serious, then you'll miss out on the bulk of the demand in the game and your clients will be the smaller entities. Lower demand = lower prices. Especially since those buyers are also the ones most likely to mine themselves.

I fail to see what this has to do with the ability to hire a hauling corp to move your trit to jita (or any other hub) for you and sell it there. Volume is not an issue in jita, you could sell a billion trit per day there if you like.
How hard is it to send some hauling corp a mail making your deal, then setup some courier contracts and there you go, your trit just increased value to 3.08 p/unit (see previous post).
Oh, wait, now I get it, you mean LOW volume (not freighter size), yeah, you're absolutely right, when you can't fill a freighter (or at least a substantial part of the freighter's cargohold), transport costs would be much more. Yeah, I tend to forget there are small fish in this game as well.
