I'm not a master in PvP and i still not master neither in PvE, but this is what i've seen:
- i can fly Amarr (my race), Caldari and Gallente BS (not Minny, i hate Minnies  )
- i have lesser then half SP in missile skills then in gunnery.
Ok, now the question:
Why in PvE i'm always flying a caldari ship? Drake for mission level 3 or Raven for lvl 4?
I've tryed other ships and i really would to fly my race... with a Apocalypse or a Abaddon but even if i've tryed and they are really good tank ships, they have a lot of problem in missions: only do EM/Therm damage (try it against guristas LoL), they can't hit small/fast ships and they can't substain a long time fire while repping.
So.... i'm fling my Amarr missions in Caldari ships: they are better even against sansha that hit for the most EM damage.
Now... the news:
Marauders, for whay i've read they will be the last frontier on PvE and mission running. I've really never tryed them but.... BUT...
Golem has bonus on painter, and i think this could be great...
Paladin (like other races marauders) has bonus on webber.
Problem is: webber is usefull up to 10km, or up to 15km if u want to spend a little lesser then 300M ISK. It could be good for extraclose combat but how to hit enemies in distances over 15, up to 30km? If Paladin had a range bonus for webber then could be a lot better in PvE... but what about PvP?
In any case.... i've read some posts regarding the DPS of Golem compared with CNR. Anyone has tryded Paladin or others Marauders in Missions?
I know... i'm like all ppl and i fly Caldari cuz my Amarr aren't really good in PvE. Any chance i could fly a Amarr PvE ship at the same efficiency level of a Caldari counterpart?

IDEA:
What about to introduce a NEW webber type? Something like "low power" but "longer range" webber?
Exemple TYPE 1:
Web for -90% speed in 10km Range, NO falloff range.
Exemple TYPE 2(NEW):
Web for -50% speeed in 20km Range, 20km falloff range.
This could make better the Paladin PvE whitout make him superuber on PvP?

You have the misconception that lvl4's can only be done by BSs.
I got an Amarr friend who breezes through those in an Absolution. 5 Beams and 1 Pulse for the pesky frigates.
Think out of the box, will you?

Mmmmh... i can fly a Absolution too... but never tried it into PvE, only in PvP / 0.0 ratting with a MWD configuration.
In any case, i've tryed against Guristas and it really makes a crap damage. Nothing to spare with a Raven...
