Ill mostly be doing solo pvp but once in a while i get together with my corp and we do some pvp together, but i mostly just need a setup that will keep me alive in a cyclone while being able to kill the enemy effectively

Cyclone
5x 220mm AC II, E50 Nos, 2x Unstable Neut
10mn MWD II, LSB II, Med EC Cap Booster (800's), Invuln II, Warp Disruptor II
3x Gyro II, IFFA DCU
Rigs: Anti EM, Anti-Kin, Anti-Thermal
Implants: 3% PG
Drones: 3x Hammerhead II, 2x Hobgoblin II
I made this setup from one of the stickies, replacing 2 nos with 2 neuts.
AWU5 lets you get away without the PG implant... if you got it.

any advice for using this setup?
what distance should i orbit them? and do i just turn on the weapons and wait for them to die? lol
and i cant use t2 stuff ...

Go point blank, if your fighting a blasterboat, it will have a web and you'll be immobile anyway, by the time he see's his cap going down it will be too late for him to mwd away and you'll usually be able to keep him warp disrupted till your auto's kill him.
Use drones on small targets, despite having ok tracking, autocannons might not hit an interceptor or frigate that manages to get a 500m orbit on you. Anything bigger than a battlecruiser you should really avoid unless you have support.

thanks, so i just click approach and wait for them to die? 
anyway do i use that same setup just with T1 ? would it still be O.K.?

ok a quick thing i threw together:
highs:
5 x 425mm AutoCannon I
3 x Heavy assault missile launcher I
meds:
1 x Large shield booster I
1 x Shield boost Amplifier I
1 x Invulnerability Field I
1 x Photon scattering field I
1 x 10mn afterburner I
lows:
4 x power diagnostic system I
then 4 med drones - whatever
and go have fun really.
tactics for this would be some thing along the line of afterburner towards them, crash into them and hope for the best lol, you will need another person there for the warp scrambling, if you want to do solo work i would recommend the rupture or the hurricane which will allow you to armour tank and thus free up med slots for scrambling and webbing and such.

would i be able to take out one of those mids and throw in a scrambler?
and maybe take out 1 or 2 of the assault launchers for a Nos?

Poor cyclone doesnt do well solo i'm afraid, go for 425 II's and heavy launchers, with an injected shield tank, mwd and scram, go all out gank setup, and hope you can kill stuff before stuff kills you

Let me say it for you now. Cyclone = don't bother.
The Hurricane is better in every single respect. It deals more damage, it fits more stuffs, it armor tanks and is therefore a better tackler, and it happily runs a dual reps and big guns. Just forget about tier 1 battlecruisers, they are all jokes next to tier 2 (possible exception: brutix after rev3).

gotta disagree, proph is a brick wall and with a t2 tank can take on stuff much bigger than itself, cyclone is a fast and effective arty platform in fleets (altho the nos nerf has hurt its ability to fight close range, as most ac setups had 3 nos), brutix is dangerous as hell up close and ferox is a passable sniper (altho it lacks a bit of grid) the tier 1 bc's are still great bang for your buck i think

Main thing is to jam up the enemy or limit the amount of damage they are able to do. If against a drone boat, HAM the drones out leaving ac's on the target ship. The nerf to their tracking will hopefully keep you alive and scan res will help keep your drones alive to jam them. Having signal suppression and turret destabilization to L4 will give your RSD and TD strength of 42% and 47% respectively, which can be enough of an edge to throw them off.
In a gang with other better tacklers, just load up mids with damps and td's. CCP is leaving the uberized EC- Drones alone, so they are still something to have with you.

A Cane with full 220's, neut, mwd, web/scram, med inj w/800's, 2 mar II, 2 exp, 1 kin, 1 therm active hardeners and ec-300's might be what you want for ganking. The mwd, 2 LSE II, warp dis, 3 gryo II, 2 odj, 1 nano and poly rigged cane is nasty as well, but a bit more expensive.

It's not a hurricane, but then again, it costs 20m vs 38m, which is something to consider.
Arty setup:
5x 650 II, 3x HML II
Large Shield Booster II, 2x Invul field II's, 10mn AB II, med electrochem booster w/ 800's
DCU II, RCU II, Co-Pro II, Gryostab II
4x med drone II
Auto setup:
5x 425mm II, 3x HAM II
Large Shield Booster II, 2x Invul field II's, 10mn MWD II, med electrochem booster w/ 800's
DCU II, RCU II, Co-Pro II, Gryostab II
4x Med drone II
EM shield rigs work well here, as well as shield cap and boost cycle rigs, if you want to put some isk into the ship.
