To: The General Public of EVE.
The enormous braziers that lit up the Emerald Throne room glowed with a sinister red hue that shrouded the atmosphere of this unusual diplomatic meeting. Vice Admiral Jhered Stern and Vice Admiral Darwin stood at one side to the table while the diplomats from the Phoenix Alliance; three of them, stood to the other side. The ink of the archaic parchment was dry and the legalities of the meeting had come to and end. A cease fire had been agreed to and the boundaries set. The agreement is to be as follows.
The Forsaken Empire would limit forces to within Tribute, The Vale of the Silent and Geminate. The Phoenix Alliance would limit their forces to Venal, Branch and Tenal. The Pure Blind Region would be considered a Neutral Zone to both alliances. All hostilities between the two nations would cease at once and no ships would cross into the territories mentioned. The only grounds for hostility at this time will be boarder infractions. Pilots from both sides are warned that no military assistance will be rendered if you are caught violating this treaty.
Any aggression toward ships in either alliance outside of the claimed territories by ships of either alliance is forbidden. All pilots have been advised not to fire on each other unless fired upon first. But no side will commit a fleet against each other outside of their claimed territories.
In case of infractions both sides have agreed to contact one another to resolve the issue diplomatically.
This is the will of the Emperor and it will be done.

PRESS RELEASE
The Phoenix Alliance have always recognized our neighbors to the southeast as one worthy of our attention in the matters of intergalactic conflict. However, we have never officially recognized the Forsaken Empire as a legitimate empire in the truest sense of the word.
That was until now.
After long and fruitfull talks with FE diplomats, and much consideration from the Phoenix Alliance high council, I am proud to announce that the era of conflict between the FE and the PA has finally drawn to a close. A Non Aggression Pact between our two northern powers is now in effect and aggression on both sides of our borders ceased.

I would probably make peace with the PA too, if I knew Evolution and m0o were going to be coming after me soon.
This roughly translates into urine streaming down the pants of the FE. |

I believe your assessment is incorrect. This is a Non-Aggression Pact between shared-border neighbors. There's no agreement to provide military support on either's part to the other's conflict. The only agreement is they will not encroach on their neighbor's agreed borders.
If PA had been conducting large-scale raids into F-E territory, then I'd agree this is an attempt to lessen the size of the target on the collective F-E forehead. They were not, and this had been discussed prior even to the Evolution actions against the PA.
My personal belief is that this action is an attempt to accomplish one main goal: validate and legitimize the F-E's claims on their stated regions, increasing acceptance of F-E's stated goals (non-piratical regional alliance.)

Second Who are you?
Third You obviously have never seen the Imperial Navy in combat.
Fourth Be carefull with how you insult the Emperor, or it may be you ****ing down your leg.

Correct me if I'm wrong..
But..
On the way up to venal.. You have to cross 4 systems that belong to the Tribute region?
would that be looked at as a violation of the cease fire ?

No... As long as you do not diviate from that route further into tribute anyone we are not at war with is free to pass through those systems.

This question seems to pop up frequently, so I will set the record straight.
The northern most system in the Tribute region are recognized by both parties as critical for practical travel to and from Venal. In the spirit of a amicable non aggression pact, no travel restrictions are enforced in this area.
I would also like to point out that this agreement is a Non Aggression Pact. Not a cease-fire. |

Nothing lasts forever. War is no exception.
However we sat around bored all weekend waiting for Evol or Moo led by the lord zap impersonater.
/me shakes head, despite our convos and pleas to bring it on...they never came.
I mean seriously both me AND mongo cleared our schedules, But i guess they decided they better things to do.

The hilarious thing here is that a couple of weeks ago we (Jericho Fraction) received word that three big pheonix alliance corps were about to declare war on JF. Rona, Oberon and CDI. At the time we literally said "bring it" and were certainly looking forward to hunting CDI plutonium convoys on the way to Khanid Prime.
Then it turned out that none of the war declarations came to anything and the matter was strangely dropped. (Though some internal PA sources passed intel to us about PA looking to hire mercs to do their dirty work instead).
Mysteriously an ex PA alt-corp named "Hell's Angels" then war-decced us and got their asses soundly kicked before retreating to stations and satisfying themselves with pro-PA propaganda in local.
The Mercenary Frigates declared and had a spirited tilt at Jericho.
Now, mere days after signing a ceasefire and border treaty with PA, we have FE declaring against Jericho also.
Now this could of course all be pure coincidence and strange circumstance combined to look fishier than it is. But the lets not forget that the true reason for JF being stabbed in the back by the PA corps was that we opposed the NVA/PA merger back last year.
Hence this newfound love between the northern territorial alliances does suggest that the courage-challenged PA corps could well have found eager Mercs in the form of FE to do their dirty bidding.

I'm not sure where you get your information from Jade, but you obviously need new sources, as all of the above is absolute rubbish. Why would RONA declare war on Jericho?
Please don't feel you are special enough to be on our **** list, as you really are nothing more than a slight annoyance on the forums.

Jericho is irrelevant to us now, and has been for a long time. You need to get back to reality, work for your corp, stop worrying about matters that don't concern you, prosper, have fun. I am sure Jericho members, whom I respect, will thank you for that.
