overall i think its especially the smaller ships who have won because of their gained details, though i never saw a capital in close up but from the screen and from the vid they look "almost" like before.
Stabber/Vaga shocked me a bit because they lost their characteristic "Dragonhead" but i like the bulkyness, Minmatar in general improved alot in terms of design and shipcraftmanship, seems like they invented invisible ducttape ^^

yes, the prowler lost the triple spinning jolt cage.
however it looks more sturdy now, and it as an appearance of a rocket.

Its sad the Raven didnt get a much more improved model, but its much better right now than it was before. I might even fly one now...
The Mega is pure love right now. Very very nice work CCP!
But whats up with the Caracal? Are you joking? It STILL looks like ****! With that kinda model it wont matter what kinda textures you put on it.

yea i was undocking in my vindicator while another guy was undocking in his navythron at the same time on sing both look great. the megathron model and skin are light years ahead of the old bland one for sure.
heck all the faction ships look great that i have seen sofar.

I can't even fly one and I suddenly have the urge to train for it because they made the damn thing so sexy now.
Rotten Tomato award goes to the baby blue Gallente ships... the Myrmidon is now a Gheyllente Myrmidon. :(

Machariel looks lush. Amarr ships just win. Mega looks lush...although I cant see why they've not got the textures as sharp as they are on the brutix? Brutix tex maps are crisp and sharp and well defined but some of the mapping on the meg and some of the other ships leaves a lot to be desired. Thats not to say they dont look uber....but I'm a bit puzzled by the desparity between some of the ships.
realy disappointed with the nighthawk losing its sexyness...drop the red stripes....

Everybody is entitled to there own opinion. It must be interesting for the artists to hear your comments. Being a career graphic designer I hear this stuff all the time, "I love it!", "I hate it!", "Could you turn it upside down?"...sorry I was getting carried away there.

Heh, aye. "Can you make the logo bigger", "I don't like green" etc.
CCP's artists must have known the Gallente colour scheme would be at least a little controversial though - I know for sure when I'm pushing my luck a bit

The new Raven wins hands down, it was in the top 5 ugliest ships in EVE with that horrible red stripe and that terrible paint job, now its looking much more drakeish which I like!

Harpy: this ship is just sexy... from that boring silver-white color to dark gray with dull red-orange highlights/windows. Now instead of boring, the ship looks absolutely evil.... perfect for EVE's best pod sniper.
Vengeance/Curse/Damnation: CCP, pay attention here. This is how you make black ships. Now make the Nighthawk/Flycatcher/Heretic/Vigilant/Hookbill look like this. These ships are just so good looking I want to fly them regardless of stats... it even overcomes the awful performance of the Vengeance to make it an appealing ship!
Vulture: thank you CCP for the new Ferox hull. This almost makes me forgive you for nerfing my tracking computers. Just give a bit more contrast to the colors, and this ship will be perfect visually.
Machariel: I will probably never fly one, but the new model really makes me wish I could. The old one wasn't bad, but the new version is just perfect.

Is the chimera supposed to look like it does? Parts of it look fine, but there are also arbitrary black splotches that really seem out of place.

I love the new sleipnir skin but I hate the model with a passion - it looks so much lower-poly and less-well modelled than the original; a step backwards. 
To clarify: It's been stretched too long, squashed too flat, the shield panels at the front (that is what those things are supposed to do on matari ships, right?) have been cut off at the top... and it's got none of the subtle rounded edges of the orignal which contrasted with the spikes all over it; it's as if it's been rebuilt out of of lego.
I could rant about that one all day.

Well in my opinion the minmatar ships don't look like a pile of trash anymore. I may even consider flying them because of their speed (a play style I have always liked but never wished to go with it because the ships looked like trash).

speaking of travesty, the new vagabond looks a bit horrible, especially disappointing as the old vagabond was one of the few actually good looking minmatar ships.

All Amar ships. Seriously, if there was one that got more ugly, I missed it. They all look spectacular now.

Biggest win by far is the Mega. It's so sexy, it makes me look past the cyan.
Apoc is a whole lot less ugly, which is win. Would like a bit more gold, but still, better than before.
