Last night i figured id buy all of item X off the market in Jita... and to my shock i could contineously purchase the same items Same volume, and price). now at the rate i was buying them there is no way an actual player could restock the market.
How does that happen?
I checked my journal, and it clearly shows that i bought the same volumes at the same price, time after time. thus NOT alowing me to clean the market of this item.
...do players have Makros setup to restock the market in this way or are CCP re-stocking the market with bogus chars?

My guess too. Some NPC items cannot be bought out. What was the OP buying?

Maybe he was trying to buy out all the shuttles.

xMillz, why don't you just post with your main now that we know who it is?
Further, now that you have stated the item, you are unlikely to monoploize it.
Lastly, don't underestimate the volume of reserves that people have in their hangers to fill orders. Not everyone stores their inventory out on the open market.
If you really want to know who is filling your orders, have a look at your wallet journal.

Edited by: Rom4n on 29/11/2007 15:53:53 I know who is filling the orders.. it just phisically not possible to place the order within the duration im buying them. I sense i have touched a nerve here? is there really a Makro that will aid the replenishment of filled orders, and is that within the rules?
And in this instance the fact they orders kept appearing instantly played into my hands... just mean i could buy more.
Now i have my fill... feel free to grab as many as you want for yourself; if you think it has something to do with the next patch :-)

Not a nerve of mine, but if you think that you have enough proof that a macro was used to recreate those orders, then I would suggest that you file a petition under the exploit category. If their is a macro at work I would love to see that loser banned.

Hi,
Firstly, check who was selling the item, this should be in the transations section of your wallet. It could be multiple different people.
Secondly, a item like Arbalest Cruise launchers in Jita has something like 50+ market players stockpiling it. If someone was to put up 2000 Arb launchers for sale, then another market player would undercut. However with smaller amounts, less savy trades ignore them, leaving them to constantly refill orders as required.
The type of thing they are doing is known in the real world as Iceberg orders, in other words, you only see the tip and not the real volume.
My suggestion is to buy cheap in jita, and haul it to the nearist highsec to warzones. For example, if you read up on politics, you will see that my alliance is having fun and games in hed-gp. Nearist high sec station to that is Agil, where I stock the market with some goods that I mark up on my alt, and occasionally get the plesure of shooting down the buyer later in combat
But you get the idea, buying and transporting goods is very important, and keep an eye out for where big battles are going on. People are lazy and many people shuttle to nearist high sec stations to warzones insted of flying a pre-fitted ship 20+ jumps though with a wardec.
hope that helps --

I have no proof that there are macros in the market, but I strongly assume this as well. And no, this is of course not legal. But how to prove this? You really can't, you can just have your own thoughts and doubts.

There are very few Arb Cruise sell orders on teh market in Jita, sub 100 units available at the time, i bought them all... but there was this persistant 5 units apearing the second i bought them, all for sale buy the same char at the same price in the same quantity, and they appeared at an unhuman rate. Ill petition it as an exploite, but it actually favoured me that i could buy more.
