I think the unspoken assumption here is that you'd never again meet this love of your life, and your best friend who has saved your life once before would understand.. you're giving her your car, and she is capable of helping the old woman because of her reputation for saving lives.


It's really the best solution without being needlessly selfless or selfish, I think.

Well remember, your friend is soaking in the rain too.. so now they'd have a car.. your car.. and the least they can do for a friend is help someone who's dying..
