It would seem that due to the stabalizers being offline and the containment fields being so heavily damaged, Zap's ego overloaded, causing the random and intense activation of all other modules.
Explains a lot.

The funniest thing, and something not many people will realise, was that I was one of Zap's compatriots who had already jumped through the gate, seconds before the screenshot was taken.
