Going back to engage the ass who ambushed you knowing he has even more backup on the way. To be fair it was the same guys i was talking about earlier and I felt sort of bad, internally my karma is satisfied. Plus I was curious what kind of setup they had, eh, i ran out of charges before a thypoon and a megathron popped my domi. around 5 minutes, is that normal? I'm assuming that's not with a gank setup, plus i was tanking thermal, but I can't explain the low thypoon damage, unless artiliaries are really that bad in combat. need more research. Anyways for would be duelers: When they're talking **** but won't engage you immediately, they're calling for help, regardless. There is no such thing as a 1v1, even if you plan on engaging honorably. have backup before attempting. You think someone isn't stupid enough to try the same thing twice? Guess again. Yes you know the rules, everyone does, but when you're high on exploded wrecks and your epeen is obstructing your view, stop and think: "is this what jack the ripper would do?" then decide not to do anything stupid. I see the OP as more of a humorous story about losing a little bit of self control and going for that one last glorious kill and having it backfire. Looking back, it looks like he knows he should have seen it coming, but let adrenaline take over his thinking and went in anyways. Wasn't too much epeen stroking, wasn't flaming anyone (other than himself, and only in a joking fashion) he wasn't whining either. I think it's a funny story, and it happens a lot. A buddy of mine got a little greedy after we had popped a few ships, and went in for one more, was slightly outgunned, made a little mistake, and ended up going home in a pod. Heck I've done something pretty similar myself also, so I can sit back and laugh with the OP at the situation and feel his pain at the same time.
