I miss the transparent pinned windows. The new version of pinning is half way between transparent and opaque.
Considering all the panels down the right hand side and the essential 0.0 local panel running down the left the visual area becomes quite small.
Small thing in the grand scheme of Trinity, but I would like to see the option to make pinned windows transparent, thus increasing the area in which we can see all the glorious new graphics

Good point. The interface FPS hit is reduced slightly on current EVE with fully transparent windows, instead of alpha-blended ones. Considering the interface on the new engine also has a negative FPS affect, cant see it being different.
So yes, transparent window option please! (Not that we'll get it at this time of deployment though =)

uuuh currently there already is an option to make your windows fully transparent if thats what is suggested here.
On chat and cargo it is 3th or 4th icon from the right, right top of the window.... And I believe it is even possible just to set everything transparent from UI style options... Not sure about the last one though.

Tab is also helpful to quickly increase available viewing space.

I absolutely love the new alphablended windows. The only sad thing is that you cannot apply it to everything (like the Neocom bar or the Station Services bar...

I couldn't find the "make windows fully transparent" option on the new client. Does this option exist?

I like the new semi-opaque pinned windows. On the old client, i never "pinned" my chat windows, cause when transparent it's almost impossible to read when there is something bring behind them.
With the new pinned windows being semi-opaque, it's great cause you get the benefit of visual awareness of whats happening there, and you can still read the text very well, even while looking at a sun up close.
Please keep it this way.

Ah, I think you're taking me to mean that the new windows look bad / aren't useful. This is not what I mean. In stations, or some situations undocked, opaque windows are necessary, and the new windows do look good.
However, _they do have a performance hit_ .. and from what I can see on the new client, do here too. So an option to have fully transparent as is currently available would be nice.
I don't find them that unreadable when undocked, maybe its just me, or I'm used to it. 98% of the time undocked, my chat windows are transparent, so it will be a feature I miss, if it is removed.

This is not the same as having a window permamnently on view, yet transparent.
Also, the thing with options is that they're, errm, optional. It enables the individual to choose which they prefer, for whatever reason they decide is important to them.
