try a station id...
if you don't know how to get it, check the data export.

I tried joining the locationID with stationID and got 2 hit of all the row items in the test dump we got
got no clue if the locationID is stationid :(
I dont think it is
I mean
he speaks of that we get all items even a POS we might own. and a POS is in space next to a moon right ? so the locationID cant mean stationID on that one
any Devs plz hep

Most of them are systems. I'm wondering how to parse them with php, simplexml and xpath or if I'm going to have to use something else.

In the example given, the location ID seems to be a mix of system IDs (those beginning with 3) and station IDs (those beginning with 6).
Why it would return items as being in a certain system but not specify the station, I have no idea.

locationID can be a station or a solar system. I'm fairly certain that nothing else is valid, because anything else is going to be stored in something that is located in either a station or a solar system.

Lets say we have 5 POS in a system with 5 corporate hangars anchored. Will we be able to know where the stuff actually is, or will just do the list of what is present in the solar system ? ----------------------------------------

You would be able to determine what is in each corporate hangar array, but not necessarily which one is at which moon.
Of course, given the itemID for the hangar isn't going to change (unless you unanchor and move it), you can do some mapping of ID to tower yourself and then just store that information in your database.
Certainly not ideal, but then, it's the best I can do. We don't store information about what items are connected to what POS in the database. That is calculated on node startup by the servers.

Well, if you have the coordinates, you can actually (may be) find at what POS it is. But thats good enough if we have a unique ID for the hangar. ----------------------------------------

Aye, true. I haven't yet found where the coordinates are in the database though and I'm running out of time, so I don't think those will be included in any of the outputs for now.

Is there any timeframes for the API v2 pages ? Or at least a final sample of everything (things changed for at least POS) so we can code in advance :) ----------------------------------------

Edited by: Ischia on 04/12/2007 04:48:57 Just saw this thread and got quite excited.
Does AssetList.xml.aspx exist/work and/or have a time frame for release?
Edit: Answered my own question. Yes, they exist.
