Each drone got 2 types added, a T1 and T2 version. The main diffrences are...
Slightly faster
duel damage types (Kinetic/Thermal for example)
Bit more shield/armor/hull
You'll make them from drops from the Drone regions. They will mnost likely be to expensive to use in PvP. In PvE you won't really need there advantages. You can boost speet with a ship fitting, Armor/shields arn't so important and you can always carry multiple types of drones to do multiple damage types... not that you need to do that much anyway.
They could have use in PvP but only if they can be purchased at a reasonable price. I really doubt that will happen. Overall nice toys that won't get a lot of use, unless you have a ton of ISK or live in the drone regions.

I partially disagree for the PvE part:
dual damage tipe = serious defect in PvE;
slighty faster generally good but it depend on tracking - faster speed mean they reach the target faster (and in PvE it is way easier that the target are at some serious range, while PvP tend to be more at short range) and orbit faster, so they are harder to track
bit more shield/armour/hull = big thing in PvE - the loss of T2 drones in PvE can be a serious drain of the player wallet. If the increase in hp is sufficient they will survive where a T2 drone will die.
My big dubt is price. If they are fairly common and easy to build they will be used in PvE, if not they will be collector items.

All I need to know about the new drones is that the Drops to make them come from the Drone Regions! Yea!
Its about frigging time the Drone Regions got something that even COMPARES to what the rest of Eve has!
Oh...and yeah they will be hideously expensive cuz I'm a greedy Captialist pig and want to steal all your hard-eaned ISK to buy Hookers. Feel free to send me your advance orders now.

Venkul Mul, your correct. I did not want to make a lengthy post stating the obvious. My main thrust is that they are not likely to have a lot of useage in PvP and only slightly more in PvE do to expected high cost.
