I have been playing this game since early 2004 and I have random assets scattered all over the universe. Recently, I decided to go collect everything and bring it to my main empire station. This does not include items that I keep in certain stations for certain things ie: Blueprints for copying, battlecruiser in a 0.4 system for gate camping, a mission running ship in a mission hub, etc. I am talking about those 4x cap recharger Is that are in Urlen for some reason.
How many of you have all your stuff strewn about and how many of you are actually organized with all you stuff in one place? ---------------------------------- I post therefore I am bored at work. |

Heh, yeah I now have 6 station containers in my main station. One is labeled Misc. and is getting to be quite a party in there. ---------------------------------- I post therefore I am bored at work. |

I've taken the time to consolodate all my assets, it's worth it in the long run. Having everything organsied helps you realise what areas are lacking and which are overflowing. Besides, I can now fit any of my ships in under 60 seconds as I know exactly where each part I need resides.
I'll be heading back into 0.0 life soon, so I set up a corp with my alt and now use the corp hangers and containers to ensure everything is in order and one place.
When I leave, i'll simply ferry what I need via my alt who will obviously remain in the corp.
I suppose this must be my sig. I'll do something cool with it eventually. |

Edited by: Stakhanov on 30/11/2007 20:26:28 I have about 1/4 of my stuff scattered throughout the galaxy. It's no big deal , I use courier contracts whenever I really need something , or fly in a shuttle / inty / covops to pick up small mods.

lol - now thats funny. At least you are buying stuff and not trying to go pew pew when drunk. That would really be bad.
I have stuff in over 20 stations and the worst part is 5 of those stations is just a noob ship. ________________________

I'm pretty OCD in the organization of my stuff... if I have stuff in a station that I no longer go to, and it's not worth the time to go get it, I just trash it (also good for the random Ibis).
On a side note... would it be so horrible to give players tabs in the items section?

I made some happy newbs when I consolidated all of my crap to two locations last year.
I went region to region and set up courrier missions to Jita for everything. And I paid damn well for the effort to haul it. I figured Jita is the most traveled too location so it should happen. If it is something I want to keep it will go on my freighter...if it is something I want to sell well there you go.
3 days after putting out several hundred contracts almost 99% of the stuff had been hauled to Jita. A few shipments didnt make it because I might have set the value of the stuff too low for the collateral, but in general it was minerals, random modules, and packaged ships that I was in my mind at value + 10% for collateral.
With the new contract system though, you may take longer now to do this since you are limited in number of contracts. But if the pay is right people will definitely haul it for you. And just setting up courrier mission contracts station by station to Jita is easy stuff.

p.s. I moved all my bpos, and high value officer mods myself. I don't recommend leaving those to chance of ganking/stealing, etc. In some cases collateral isk wouldn't be worth it to me for the loss of the items. |

Courier for the valuable stuff you care about. Remote sell for stuff in same region you no longer care about. Right click -> Trash it for the rest. C|S|I|N|x. |

Hmmm never thought of myself as a neat freak but all my stuff is in 6 stations that I use on a regular basis. My alt has even fewer, except when she's buying materials for production all her stuff is in 4 stations.

Edited by: Crumplecorn on 30/11/2007 23:01:33 My alt has 4 haulers in 2 stations which I haven't been to in nearly a year, and a load of junk in a station in providence from when I lived there (at least a year ago). My main has yet more haulers in some stations which I do occasionally visit, and a Brutix which I used for mission running which inexplicably started shooting rainbows. Oh and ammo. Tens of thousands of rounds of frigate-sized ammo in a few stations. One station doesn't even have a combat ship in the same region, just lots and lots of ammo, WTF... I don't have the heart to trash all those perfectly good haulers, but I certainly don't have the heart to go and get/sell them.
All my 'current' assets travel with my main and are kept in one station though, and I did clear out a lot of junk a while back. Mainly because you can't filter the assets tab except by region or whatever. -

Weird **** that doesn't make sense, too. Like mining barges I can't use, or 15 standard launcher I all piled up. Or these ****ty 3% small projectile turret implants in stacks of 1-5 in over 20 stations. I'm sure there's a story in there somewhere I can't remember. |

I'm not bothering getting them all together anytime soon, especially not since courier packages got scanable.

I have stuff in roughly 150 stations spread over everywhere. Sometimes I stumble on crap I totally forgot about, like a stack of 15 manticores, or more often a fitted cruiser or BC. found a stabber the other day at a station I hadn't visited in at least 3 years. This is interesting cause I only have minmatar cruiser 1. --------------

I still have Beta reactor SPRs all across 3 regions (mostly in lowsec) from region-wide cheap-as-hell buy orders on the pre-named-SPR-buff-patch-days, places I couldn't be arsed to go to, nor have the sell range to reach at with minimal travel Oh, and a bunch of drugs scattered across two old "combat bases" from more than a year ago that I didn't have the heart to trash.
Ever since I moved to The Forge though, I only filter stuff by region, and don't care about all the other crap... Forge region is pretty clean, just my "home system" and some "remote stuff" in Jita44 (as I have the necessary remote range for it). C|S|I|N|x. |

Edited by: Reem Fairchild on 01/12/2007 18:45:05 I'm very organized. Can't stand having my stuff in several stations except when it's necessary.
My main charcater right now has all his stuff in the alliance's forward operating base for our current fleet ops, except for one hauler in another alliance outpost. And this character has everything in Hirtamon, 2 jumps from Jita.
