Haven't played in a good year or so, just trying to see if this setup is going to work well for mission running (mostly level 3s)
Highs : 7x Heavy Missile Launcher IIs
Mediums : 3x Large Shield Extender IIs 2x Invulnerability IIs 1x Active hardener (rat specific)
Lows : 2x Ballistic Control System IIs 1x Shield Power Relay I 1x Power Diagnostic System II
Rigs : 3x Core Defence Field Purger I
Also, can anyone give me a link to a list of Rat damage types and resists?
Thanks a lot guys, it's great to be back=D

That would work fine for level 3s, but I would suggest using 1 invulnerability field and 2 rat specific passive amps. Cuts down on the cap usage and L3s are easy to tank in a drake. Also swap out that PDS for another SPR as soon as you get the skills to fit it.
Damage types are as follows:
Guristas - Weak vs kinetic, use all types but primarily kinetic/thermal Angels - Weak vs Explosive, use mostly explosive/kinetic Sansha/Blood Raider/Drones - Weak to EM, use mostly EM/Thermal damage, drones use all types but again high EM Mercenaries - Thermal/kinetic are best to attack with(especially kinetic since the drake gets a bonus), deal all damage types with more kinetic and thermal, but don't be surprised to see quite a bit of EM from missiles. ...in bed. |

For lv3s you don't even need rigs on the Drake.

I currently use:
Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Damage Control II Power Diagnostic System II
10MN Afterburner II Small Shield Booster II Invulnerability Field II Invulnerability Field II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II
Heavy Missile Launcher II Heavy Missile Launcher II Heavy Missile Launcher II Heavy Missile Launcher II Heavy Missile Launcher II Heavy Missile Launcher II Heavy Missile Launcher II [empty high slot]
Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I [empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
5 x Hobgoblin II's
I never break a sweat in any level 3. I have maxed cap skills and can run the hardeners and small booster forever. I also have close to maxed shield skills.
My actual setup uses Caldari Navy BCS and a Tractor in slot 8. If you must have a tractor on the above T2 setup you can lose the damage control, fit a 2nd PDS2 and the Tractor Beam will fit (assuming you have fairly good fitting skills). You can also squeeze on 3 x Caldari Navy BCS if you lose the Damage Control II.
The afterburner isn't really necessary and can easily be lost for something else that will fit. I just put it on because I hate having to slowboat to get in range of rats outside the 60km odd heavy missile range and to get to CCP's famous MustAddAsManyTimeSinksAsPossible(tm) far acceleration gates.
I always use Scourge Heavy Missiles regardless of rats I'll be fighting. Granted, I could probably use EM for some missions with better results, but it's negligable as far as I'm concerned. Having 1 ammo type is far less hassle.
This is a fairly non-standard setup. I originally came up with this setup as I was looking for maximum damage output while still having a half-decent tank. This is about the best DPS vs tank I could come up with. Note that I don't normally use rigs as I regularly repackage and move my ships. I treat the EM rig as expendable since it only costs about 4-5m. If you're going to fit 3 rigs, I'd probably for 1 x EM and 2 x Field Extenders (or 3 x Field Extenders)

A tech 2 fitted Drake (with your setup) can manage most lvl4 missions. For some level 4 missions you will have to have 3 specific hardeners and on occasion even 3 or even 4 shield power relays to survive (Worlds collide for example. Though in this particular mission you need to use two setups. First the one with full rack of SPR to survive when killing half the second pocket and then your setup to kill the battleships).
Imo, using a tech 2 fitted Drake for lvl3 missions is a waste of time. Sure, its damage is 50-60% of compareed to a Raven, but hey, Raven is THE missions running ship.
So...go for lvl 4s dude and dont forget to do some research about the missions before you accept. There are lots of urls you can visit (some viewable ingame) and check out the enemy stats for optimal mid/low-slot fitting.
Welcome back!
