Well, after trying all methods of turning my parental control off it still wont allow me to play singularity with the new Trinity updates.
All parental controls are turned off and Im running exe. file under Windows XP mode. Anyone knows why Parental control still wont allow me to play the game? (and yes, I'm old enough :) )

I'm running Vista Ultimate 64bit and im having no problems. Although when I received my shinyshiny notebook, I went ahead and disabled all of the annoying security center BS in the first place. Try running the .exe as administrator. ----------------------------------- CCP Please update my portrait on the website/forums :D

I run it on Vista Ultimate 32 bit and have had no issues. I don't remember off hand about the security center settings as I am on an XP laptop right now, but I am pretty sure i just turned the file/user protection off. You may want to check the MS site for more help on the settings though. I will reply back again if I spot anything that might help when I am back on my Vista machine.

a.) What parental control? If you mean the UAC of Vista, then you can either turn that off, or start the Trinity client with administrator rights. If you mean some kind of EVE parental controls (is there even something like that?), then go to your room and do your homework, junior!
b.) What do you mean with "It won't allow me to play"? Do you get a messagebox with "No, I don't want you to play that right now."? Or an error message? Blue Screen? Smoke from the back of your computer?
Ciao, Aronis!

I have Vista and have no problems. Try playing as administrator maybe?
You must not have actually turned them off if they won't let you play.

The awesomeness of it causes you to shudder in fear. Honestly, I am wayyyyyy happier with Vista than I was with XP, just turn off the security BS and bam, awesome. ----------------------------------- CCP Please update my portrait on the website/forums :D

For some yeah.. For the majority its a hunka junk.. Though to be fair XP was exactly the same when it was first introduced.. I'm sure after SP2 it will be better than XP simply due to developers abandoning XP and making Vista only stuff due to M$ cutting out support for XP like they did to their earlier OS's..

"f it's still blocking it, then it's not really off is it?"
Reading skills ftw....
What I'm saying is "every single parental control is set to "off mode" Still this message pops up "parental control ect ect" and game can't be opened.
Trying to play it as admin or windows XP mode dosen't work ether.
I am talking about the singularity server now but not trinity if anyone got confused.
Thx for all the answers so far

QFT. 1 bluescreen in Vista since Febuary.
With XP the year before, 80 bluescreens.
How can people complain?
