Do you remember the first time you ran across Karana, or RVR'ed or joined a BG?
You probably had that feeling we all had during the golden age of MMOs. It was that feeling of discovery, exploration, wonderment! Honestly how many times can you unsheath your sword and feel its new and interesting.. I've personally got ten years of MMO's under my belt and that feeling of discovery is far and fleeting. This is the reason I post. I suspect EvE is not for everyone, but I'll counter that statement it IS for anyone in MMO's who wants to capture the feeling of discovery again.
The game is everything you know, and most of all deep. I can't even pretent to know anything about it after playing a couple weeks. I truly feel like a warrior on the edge of an abyss.
If you are looking for that feeling of discovery. I higly suggest spending a couple weeks playing EvE..

Actually, the best reason for playing EVE is that if you're fed up with someone, you can shoot him in the face and make him hurt. Darwinism is a great thing, stupid/idiot people pay for being stupid.
How often did I want to kill some #$%#@er in Stormwind for being a complete tool.

I recently discovered EVE myself and I am never looking back, I completely agree. Nice post!

Although the feeling does fade, yeah, eve was great for a while with that feeling of discovery. The first time I stepped foot into 0.0 was fun, as well as when I learnt Jita wasn't some massive battleground that no-one could step foot in without being nuked, which I'd assumed given the way people talked about it :)
