The Complete Unknown is a work in progress guide to hopefully answer most of the questions there are about wormhole space, and will be expanded to cover many other aspects of inter-linked EVE gameplay as well.
This guide has taken several months to turn from a collection of ideas to a fully edited .PDF, complete with excellent artwork for the cover.
It features one of the most up to date and current collections of material on w-space, and is scheduled for an update next month to include an in-depth section on T3 production, complete with original diagrams. Also to be included is a chapter on Arek'Jaalan and the new live events CCP have organized to iterate on wormholes.
If you have any thoughts about somthing that could be added to the guide, or a section with missing information, or there is a mistake you notice You can EVE-mail me. I am also available for comment on any wormhole questions that you have, and hang out in the "wspace colonists" channel, when online.
If you feel in a generous mood, ISK dontaions can be sent directly to myself, "Lorkin Desal". There will be no compulsory fee for this guide, ever, and any websites that claim to be allowed to charge for access to this guide may not, under any circumstances, do so.

While you're onto adding stuff to the wiki, how about adding
Islands among the Stars: A Guide to Everything Wormhole. 12JAN11 v1.08 as seen in this old forum post here:
Island among the stars: A guide to everything wormhole
Which is also available online here: Readable online version of Islands among the Stars |

You could have posted that in its own thread rather then hijacking mine Eru. Why could you not also use your main rather then an alt? |

Friendly bump for a good friend and a master wormholer (that just sounds wrong...). This guide is truly a must read, if you're in a wormhole or plan doing anything related to them. |

My arse. If I'm on, I'm either doing PI, scanning, scouting, shooting something, harvesting something, discussing loadouts, discussing tactics, gettng paid, or a combination thereof.
If you got the skills, you can make your own game and play it how you like. Even if you prefer to stare at pos shields (but you won't get paid for that). |

Great guide Lorkin. I learnt more reading this guide than spending the last 10 months living in a wormhole! |

Instead of going to bed I ended up reading the entire guide, and it looks great! Tons of useful information, loads of aspects covered. Basically I now want to live in a wormhole |

Nice effort. A beautifully presented addition to the publically available w-space information. Well done, I love the front cover and will look forward to revisions and additions as they evolve. |

Argh... just read through your guide and typed lots of notes and after pressing 'review' my post was gone.
However: Nice guide.
Some points (I might have missed or not being mentioned in the guide): - D-scan doesn't always cover the whole system - WH-effects are only mentioned in one example near the end - pos setup, alternative pve fleets would have been nice to read about - bookmark managing and distribution is a vital part - signature ids are renewing itself after every downtime - scanning strategies to cut down scan-time are important (deep space probe scanning, scan down until type visible, then ignore, scan known bms first,...)
And one really subjective point: I find the importance of faction scanning equipment or dedicated implants overrated. Most important thing you need is practice (and astrometrics pinpointing and a dedicated cov-ops scan-frig ;)). I often scan down whole systems with just normal combat probes and this works fast and fine.

Very nice guide. One thing to point out. On your explanation of how wormholes work, you define a static as;
Quote: This means that it respawns in a different location in our system every 24 hours
This is not correct. A static wormhole, or any wormhole originating on your side,ie not K162, will stay indefinitely until someone initiates warp to it. This is true of all sig types that spawn in your system. I have managed to keep some signatures (Ladars specifically) for up to a month before someone warped to them. |

For me as WH noob, I find it has a lot of info I don't quite get, for instance:
1. How many wormholes can a single w-space system contain? 7, 4 outbound and 3 K162.
Holes can be outbound one way only? And what does K162 mean? |

No, there's no one way holes, although that may be a thought CCP will now use for the future. :P
You have two types of wormholes. And when I say "wormholes", I am not talking about "wormhole systems", I am specifying the entrances and exits themselves. One type originates on your side, be it inside wormhole space or outside in empire space. This is an outbound wormhole. It will have a letter designation followed by a number, ie B274. All of these except K162s are the originating side of the wormhole. K162 is always the destination side of every wormhole.
For example, we have a B274 high sec static. When we warp to it, it spawns the K162 somewhere in high security space so that we can exit. When we pass through the B274 side, the other side will be a K162. If you scan and find a K162, then it's coming into where-ever you are from the other side. |

Bumping this thread; Theres a new version coming in under a week with all the fixes requested by users here and on FHC. I have delayed the chapter on T3 production as I want to get it right, and also RL has been hectic :)
If anyone wants to buy full page ad space in the guide I am now allowing this. We are also supplying banner space and vocal adverts on the next PodGoo Podcast, bust spaces are limited. |
