On sisi trying to put too many drones in a drone bay gets me this message:
'50.0 units would be required to complete this operation. Destination container only has 25.0 units available.'
Ok makes sense. 2 sets of mediums don't fit in a raven. :P Only problem is, its a 'notify' type message, with ***no 'attempt partial move' option!***
WTF!
So i tried dragging 4k cruise missiles into an empty launcher. Nothing happened. Not even that helpful little notify message! I split off a stack of 24 missiles and dragged them onto a launcher and it loaded them normally.

Me too. Tried putting a stack of charges in a booster and nothing happened. Worked fine when I put what I knew it could hold and no more.
Then I tried moving the large stack of charges to my cargo waiting for it to just fill up and leave the rest. Nothing happened. No message or anything. When I put less than my total cargo in worked fine.

Yeah, commonly recognized issue on Sisi. Which is why you see so many people outside of FD-...they're undocking to reload their guns & cap boosters. You have to drag the precise amount into the item in question, which is a massive step back from the current system and something they're hopefully trying to fix before rollout.

hols shift when your trying to put stuff in the bay, it will split the stack, and guess correctly the right amount.
least it did for me.

If I recall correctly, there's an option in the option tabs that asks if you want to automatically try a partial move. I don't have the client with me right now so I can't checke exact wording/location, but it's in the options menu, probably game options or however it's called.
