Edited by: Remko Marr on 02/12/2007 02:38:25 I recently purchased the new NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS graphics card for Trinity (as well as the fact that I needed a new one anyway). However, my computer runs XP and DirectX 9, and doesn't appear to be able to run 64-bit graphics. Will I still be able to use Trinity Premium, even with the new card, or will XP not be good enough?

I just loaded up the new Trinity stuff on Singularity last night. A few observations:
1.) Hands down, HDR is suhWEET! I haven't experimented with what happens when you enable it and FSAA yet, but the quality of light and shadow that HDR provides pretty well outweights all the jaggies.
2.) Performance-wise, even on my Opteron 165 w/ 1GB RAM and a GeForce 7900GT @ 1680x1050 and 24-bit color w/ 8-bit Alpha, frames were more than playable. I didn't get an exact number - I'll try to d othat tonight - but flying around in Gallente space by myself was fine.
3.) While the frames are okay, I did notice that it's a tad glitchy. The space debrit artifacts that are generated to fly past your ship as you move get stuck in all kind sof crazy directions when you stop, and there are these odd green blotches that flash up every now and again. I also notice the whole screen flash grey a couple of times. None of it was detrimental or chronic, but def. noticable. I'm hoping that the release version is going to be a little smoother.
4.) Given all in point #3, I have NO idea how this is going to run with other ships flying and fighting on the screen. I'm hoping to be able to better establish that tonight.
I think your video card will handle the game just fine; whether or not the rest of the system will or not is hard to say without seeing how much RAM you have. I'm running the game on Windows XP SP3 without any problems. :)
