First of all I would like to say I love Eve Online, and I only have been playing for 2 days now. The only problem is im on the fence as to if I wanna buy it and continue playing or not. I want to cause I have future ideas in creating a corporation that will ship your cargo to anywhere in the system for a small price, and we get 25%. Prices vary on distance lol, but of course this idea would develope if I buy it.
Anyways the question I have is, and I know it's probably been asked before, but I wanna make sure that the price of the game is 20 bucks basically, which allows me to play for an additional 30 days, and after that diminishes it will go ahead and charge me only 14.95 from there on out right?
Just making sure before I make my decision. I still have 11 days left, and by that end I should have my mind made up.
I guess that's all.. GREAT GAME EITHER WAY !!! Very Diverse and just what I look for in games.. allow me to be whatever I would like to extent.

You can buy a 30 day game time code which costs $15 and will give you same 30 days. Buy a 90 day game time code and price per month drops to about $13. If you sign up for entire year price drops to a little over $11 per month.

Yes, there's an initial extra fee to cover 'purchasing' the game, after that it's just the monthly fee.
On your idea, it doesn't really work like that but the nice thing of EVE is that you can really make cash in any way you want, as long as you see the opportunities and go for them. There is however more than just trading or manufacturing, EVE is predominantly a PVP game and it will require you to adapt and come to grips with it. But we all went through that phase.
In essence, you have total freedom in this game, but so do the others. So there's much more interaction going on in EVE than in any other MMO, which is good.

Yes, the fee diminishes after your initial subscription (which is higher because you're 'buying' the game). Enjoy Eve.

Thanks for the clarification. Yeah I thought that was how it went but wasn't quite sure.
And Cygnus Zhada yeah I know the idea won't quite work now lol, after playing alittle bit more last night, it just would take god awful long, and that I would get bored lol, but as you have said there is always a way if someone finds it. That's my duty finding the best way to make money :).
Maybe some sort of shuttle service(Cargo) Type business will come in handy, I have ideas just have to put them together. Maybe I will see some of you in the game :)

A little bit of advice, try to find your oppurtunities in offering your services to corps rather than individual players. A lot of things that are simply not worth the risk or investment for an individual player make a lot of sense once a corp or an alliance is involved.

Edited by: h3ktik on 04/12/2007 11:35:56 Whatever you do don't pay until the end of your free trial period though!
I just paid for 30 days three days into my trial (with ten left) and now I have 30 days left so I lost my ten trial days :(
Can't believe how addicted I am after only 3 days though LOL!

That is a bug and if you petition it you will get your 'free' days back. If you use a game card you don't encounter the problem.

Can anyone please confirm this as I tried to ask in the rookie help channel and the answer I got is "No". I am only 2 days into my trial and still got 12 trial days left. Actually I have filed a petition about it ...been waiting for 5 hours still no reply.
Thanks. |

I used a timecard to start off, but lost the rest of the time left in the trial. I do believe this is intended. Just hang onto your time code until the trial is up, then enter your code at the end of the trial.

Note that if you like flying indys/anything bigger then a Cruiser you might wanna enter it earlier...
