Now, I don't know exactly what is going on here. But I best explain the background. I was cruising round the belts in Duripant doing a tutorial mission for the agent there (not sure if your meant to be able to do that or not, if not I apologise and will stop). I was struck by the lack of asteroids compared with the number of people in system and decided to do some investigating.
I flew my trusty atron out to the training grounds and look what I found.
You have to see
I mean I can only see so many explanations
1) He was trying to recruit noobs (and that's cradle snatching!)
2) He was mining the noob asteroid (that's desperate)
3) He was attacking noobs (do i need to comment?)
4) He was attacking training drones (in a scorp? Uber-carebear!)
Whatever the reason it's astounding! I smudging the name in case it's considered flaming, but if requested by Polaris/GM I can provide it.

My guess is recruiting since there were not any roids there?

and my guess he just bought it and hes showing it off to the new players to feel special

Doubt he had much to do with the asteroids. When I started a few weeks back, it was the same way in Duripant.
Then this past weekend when I finally got my fiancee to try the game, it was even worse. There was not a single asteroid in her starting system or the neighboring one.
So after she had been forced to fly a couple jumps searching for *one* asteroid to finish her tutorial mission, she was then sent to the training grounds... where all of the drones were being killed by a guy and his 2nd account alt.
Needless to say, she was already pretty upset and on the verge of hating this game when that happened. So when a drone finally respawned, and she accidentally locked on the player instead of the drone... well, Concord owning her was the last straw. Trial over, game uninstalled, total time: 4 hours.
Why in the hell would someone be farming the training grounds, anyway?

OR.. just maybe..
he was trying to complete the Agent Tutorial Missions so as to get the 2.0 standing.
(Like him and about a few thousand other folks  )

Thanks for the correction Deep, never could tell the difference between caldari ships. And I know what you mean about the beginner systems. Something does need to be done about the corps that strip mine those. Luminaire, Amarr, Pator & New Caldari fair enough, but leave the noob systems for the noobs surely.

The training grounds make for a fun proving grounds of sorts to play with different gun types.
