My Eve sessions keep getting disconnected, but individually, not all at the same time.
So, uh, CCP, what did you change in London today during the d/t? This wasn't happening before the d/t, and as far as I know the most likely network element to produce miscelaneous disconnects is a stateful connection processor such as your proxies. Most of the rest of the network on the planet is just a stateless blob, and the TCP layer at each end will compensate for dropped packets.
CCP had long maintained that they have no disconnect problem, and that there is no inactivity disconnect. Anyone who has been playing Eve for a while knows this to be untrue, as sitting in station doing nothing will get you disconnected in short order. Many ppl subscribe to one or more very active chat channels to help keep their connections open. This, too, points toward a stateful connection handler such as a firewall or proxy server at CCP.
Right now the game is unplayable from here. Disconnects occur so frequently that in some cases they occur before login and char selection have been completed.
So, CCP... what did you change over the downtime today, hmmm?

I just d/c as well on both accounts and now when I try and log in
'Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong.'
WTF does that even mean?

That just means that you haven't figured out yet how broken the little login window thingie is. After a disconnect it NEVER reconnects successfully, so you have to close it and launch a new one.

I used to subscribe to the 'keep and active chat channel open to stop disconnects' brigade, in my case the BPO channel. However since I changed PC i've never once DC'ed, even when sitting around doing nothing in station, which used to gaurantee a DC within about a minute or so.

Whose your ISP?, do you use a router/wireless? I used to have similar problems my router was to blame.
Also the uk adsl market is currently a nightmare with many providers struggling under heavy load causing packetloss and hence disconnects.
Fwiw i can sit in station and not be disconnected until downtime.

Been getting random disconnects all morning, and I never usually get any. Also getting server status unknown on start-up occassionally. Something odd is going on! Ruf.

Oddly, I've had 2 accounts logged in all day and not been kicked once, and I usually do d/c once or twice.
I'm just outside London, using Virgin media cable ()

I am not able to stay in for more than a few minutes before getting disconnected. Again, I have two ISPs and have tried both. So can't lay blame on a particular ISP.

AT&T in the US. Up until today I very rarely had disconnects - like maybe once a week and I have EVE running a lot, even if I m not actively doing anything. So I doubt it is my wireless router session.
Heavy load day may be to blame as it is random - sometimes on for an hour, sometimes 5 minutes. Ruf.

Same pre downtime no disconnects at all. Only been back in game a few days, but have not had any problems like this until today.
About 3 hours ago it started all of a sudden. Since then i cant stay on for more than 5 minutes at all. Sometimes cant even log all the way in with out a disconnect.
No idea whats going on but it sure is annoying as heck.

It's possible that the winter storms hitting the midwest U.S. may be causing some router issues. Personally, I gave up after the 5th disconnect this morning

As seen from South Texas, this latest rash of severe disconnects appears to have resulted from problems in llnw.nt (Limelight Networks), with packet loss rates seen as high a 60% when packets were flowing at all.
I checked my other Internet feed and found that its network reached CCP in London via Level3.net, and with 0% packet loss. I switched my computer to that feed and had no more disconnect problems for the rest of the day.
So this one looks like it's not CCP's fault unless they contract with llnew.net as one of their major feeds, which seems likely. It's also possible that somewthing was changed, perhaps in networking, that brought this on at the coincident time of the cluster being brought up after downtime.
