Edited by: Jurgen Cartis on 02/12/2007 18:01:14 Even a Domination Large Deathstar is rather useless if you don't have people manning the guns. Make sure you have at least 2-3 people who can man POS guns, if you're a large corp you want to be able to have that coverage on 24/7, but this is usually impossible.
Setups also depend on if you're able to go for deterrence through firepower, or only deterrence through making it an absolute ***** to take it down.
Basically, you can go for a 2 exp/2 kin/1 thermal hardener, a few warp disruptors and webs and a load of small/medium guns, or 14 hardeners for about 60% overall resists and whatever fits after that.
However, if anyone REALLY wants that moon, without a defending fleet, it's theirs. POS cannot defend themselves effectively alone. -------------------- ICE Blueprint Sales FIRST!! -Yipsilanti Pfft. Never such a thing as a "last chance". ;) -Rauth |

If you just want to protect the moon then you want a deathstar fitting, but no matter what you fit on it if you can't counter an attack with a fleet of players then it will still go down.
Fit hardeners to balance the resistances across the board, then depending if it is in a sovereignty system depends on what size guns you fit.
If you have a cyno jammer in system then fit for BS attack (medium guns) if no cyno jammer then fit a mixture of large/medium. Fit a couple of small guns to deter an enemy from sending in mwd ceptors to empty large gun ammo (but neuts can also counter this).
Also fit a couple of energy neuts (I like 3 of these), if you can get a couple of POS gunners in the POS when it's being attacked you can suck any ship (inc dreads) dry pretty quick by focusing with neuts. -- eve-guides.com Includes all about POSs, outposts, tech II production, item database and much much more. |

Edited by: Joss Stone on 02/12/2007 18:10:42 Ok, we have people to control the guns, thats no problem. We also know, that the POS will go down. All that we want is a bloody finish. They should regret it. It should be a fully offensive fitting.

Rofl an "offensive" fitting? Think you need to work on word choice because there's no such thing as an "offensive" fitting on an immobile station. Dropping "offensive" pos-es on enemy fleets, coming in next expansion! :)

Please, i need something constructive and no critic on my choice of words. there is an offensive fitting compared to a full hardened more defensive fitting. please troll in other threads. Schaf im Wolfspelz |

Edited by: scramblekid on 04/12/2007 19:13:58 Do you have a cyno jammer in system? If you are posting with your main then i guess not. If they roll on you with caps there is not alot you can do, But this is what i would do.
Neuts Web/scram/damp ( damps because they are effective against most ships ) couple of hardners As MANY medium guns as you can fit
Theory :-
Caps need support gangs, so you counter the support gangs with your med guns, I cant think how many you will be able to fit, but you want enough to completely shred any support that shows up for the caps.
Caps are big and powerfull, but if their support ships get BBQ`d as soon as they get to your pos, then they become easier targets. ( and then comes the possibility that the caps wont even engage because of this )
Shred support with ure meds, then focus neuts on dreads/carriers and use your own player fleet to kill the caps.
This is only theory, but its what i would do in your situation.
Good Luck !

Does anyone actually read posts before posting, OP has said it was in a NPC 0.0 System therefore you can't use a cyno jammer...
