0.0 ratting IS the fastest, unless level 5's are faster not sure

Best way is to get in a system and only kill the bs's and leave what is left (frigs/cruisers). Dont kill the bs spawns and dont leave the system. You'll get your sec status up quicker and you'll make a ton of cash in the process. I went from -7.1 to -1.8 in 2-3 weeks. If you can't wait that long you shouldnt pirate.

Edited by: Rawr Cristina on 03/12/2007 01:18:23 2 fastest ways to gain SS:
Ninja-NPCing - Get in a Zealot (or other HAC with similar performance that can also mount a cloak) and travel around 0.0 systems looking for Battleship spawns. Kill the highest bounty battleship you find, go to the next system and repeat. If you do it right (and fast), you can be gaining sec up to 5 times as fast as you would by staying in the same system, but are obviously at risk to passing gangs etc. It's possible to go from -10 to -1.9 in well under a week using this method.
Running Missions against Multiple Factions - Find an agent base with multiple L4 agents (very hard to find outside of Lowsec, but there are plenty) and take out 2 or more missions, making sure they're against different Factions - an example would be Angel Extravaganza, The Assault(guristas), Recon 1/3(Blood), The Blockade(Sansha) all at the same time. If you kill 1 Battleship in each you'll get 4 sec increases (yes, even if they're all in the same system) rather than the 1 you'd get from killing the same number of ships in a single mission. You don't get sec increases against Empire/Unique factions however and certain other missions (Worlds Collide in particular) have never given me any sec at all for reasons I don't know
I've personally done both. 1st is very rapid and good if all you want to do is get your sec up and fast, with the option of PvP too if you get bored and there's some targets of oppurtunity lurking about. 2nd option takes a long time to get up and running since you're probably going to need to get standings up for a completely new corp (I went for Royal Khanid Navy personally) to find the agents you need. however once you're there it's an extremely safe way of gaining sec and you'll earn a lot more ISK out of it also. oh, if you have 2 accounts then it's a good idea to get standings up on both of them to give you access to twice as many missions at once. 3 L4 Q20 agents becomes 6 L4 Q20 agents with 2 accounts going, which makes it a LOT easier to get a good combination of missions (or completely avoid doing ones you hate) -----

You'd have to be able to get into highsec and be able to undock to do level 4's in highsec.
Once you hit -4.5 you can jump to one of the 0.5 systems with a lvl 4 agent and raise it relatively quick ____________________ Hi. I'm not an alt :) |

low-sec agents are generally much better if you're looking to raise sec, mainly because there's more agents (normally) and obviously you can go there Sadly Hi-sec systems have a tendancy NOT to have 3 Q20 L4 agents in the same station -----

Yeah, was just amused that he said lvl 4s in highsec will raise your sec pretty quick. Heck.. I could jump over and run lvl 5s to raise sec status. Haven't gotten tired of being flashy red personally...
I find it more entertaining ratting than running missions other than exploration missions (mainly because I haven't seen all of those yet). ____________________ Hi. I'm not an alt :) |

Isnt this, "kill rat, move to next system" complete bull****?
Anyway ratting is the fastest way, also www.eve-search.com could be your friend.

Unless it's been changed in the last month and I somehow missed it, no It isn't bull****
When you kill an NPC you get a 15 minute timer. When that timer runs out, you get the biggest sec increase of all the things you killed (so if you killed 3 frigs and a BS, you'd get the sec increase from the BS)
here's the thing though: that timer only applys to That System and That Faction. If you were to immediately go nextdoor after killing a BS and kill another BS, you'd gain twice the security status in (almost) the same timespan. If you were Mission running and killed a Sanshas battleship before immediately warping to another mission in the same system and killing a Bloodraider battleship, the same would happen. 2 Security increase timers would be going at once and you've effectively doubled your sec gain, at least for 15 minutes -----

I have got my sec back from -4.7 in a 0.5 system. It's slipped again to -7 now so it's 0.0 now.

I've personally raised my sec status from -6.9 to -1.6 in three days using the kill bs - > move system -> kill bs -> rinse repeat. In fact its good to do in gangs as you can find those spawns quicker and move on. In 5 hours I got went from -6.9 to -3.5.
First pod pilot to lose a Mothership in EvE... err woo |
