So i was expecting a drone nerf for the fighters (5 in space and then having to delegate the rest in order to utilize them) which seemed like a very very good idea indeed, for reducing lag and the ridiculous mass fighter swarm a cap fleet can produce with little or no effort once they are up and running. (and yes i know they are costly). not to mention that cap pilots with that nerf would actually need to do more than just sit there and be able to take it easy with their capital tanks, even with 1 fps combat lag, cause the dronies were just wreaking havoc. (desynch aside offcourse).
So.. everything else is being nerfed, and they are great nerfs all round, like the eos only being able to launch 3 heavy drones but more drone bay and all the other things. and the sensor dampening nerfs that makes arazu not soloable but great for recon still and all the other stuff, allthough that's the only thing imo that migth be considered being changed, taking the dedicated dampening ships into account, allthough i can understand that arazu should not be able to solo but atleast defend itself with damp pretty good.. anyways..
so yeah the new graphics look great and all is well.. i'm liking the nerfs and the new stuff changed and added.. and the nerfs seem reasonable eventhough they hit people where they live, and remove some "i win" buttons. and i found that completely acceptable taking the overall gameplay into perspective.
but then i hear, that because the capital ship pilots have then whined and moaned about e-shrinkage, that they no more can't just launch their fighters and go have a cup of tea, that ccp is now retracting that nerf. and settling for only the cargo nerf. Is this true?
And how will that go along with the rest of the nerfs which i felt were good, but taken into the context of the carrier fighter nerf now being retracted. how will that play out for general combat since the rest are getting their respective nerfs as planned?

Excuse me ? The sensor damp nerf makes the entire gallente ewar ships family useless. They went so far as to nerf damp rigs and information warfare links. Lachesis will be no good for tackling either , it has a paper tank compared to the upcoming heavy dictors , and the boosted ares (or raptor , malediction , stiletto) will be much better outside of gate / station engagements.
Saying the Eos nerf is great will get you flamed too.
Otherwise , your point stands. There is no equal treatment for players - the fighter limit wouldn't have affected 0.0 battles so much , but lots of high SP investment specialties got nerfed into uselessness.

I think they may have nerfed that nerf, on the grounds that it may have nerfed the nerfage of another more important nerf.

From SISI earlier it seems the capital whinebears have been given their wish as i'm able to launch 8 fighters on SISI under my control, all hail the whiners a very bad move CCP nerf those carriers :( ---------

The fighter nerf was crap, I dont want a 1 bil isk ship, with 20m isk fighters unable to out dps a battleship. **** that. If I get caught by a battleship, I damn well be able to kill it. Anything smaller than a BC and fighters suck. And the normal drones mean that I will have the DPS of a cruiser? Hell no.
I am still ****ed about the cargo nerf. IMO give me a module that allows me to put cargo in ships in my main bay. Hell make it take away some serious grid or cpu, but it was nice to have.

TBH I don't know why they nerfed the EW gang links.
Damps were overpowered for sure; how the new ones will perform I can't say yet. But jeez, did tracking disruptors need hitting that hard?
I guess the idea was to make Caldari the EW race...
