I am unsure there it is better to write this thread so mods move it at your discretion.
I am relativly new player and came to the game few weeks after Revelation 2, a last major patch, so I am usure if EvE have any discretion policy for game changes.
I am a drone user and those changes will strike me hard especially because I fly Myrmidon currently. But I will adapt (I will fly an Ishtar in two weeks  ). Still my Myrmidon is stuck with rigs that are imho unadequate for it after changes in trinity. Will those rigs unpluged on petition? And if yes what kind of petiotion I will have to write?
P.S.
I will prefer official response of course but any comments will be appreciated.

I wish you the best of luck. really, i do. you're going to need it. nobody gets refunds when stuff gets changed. how about those carrier pilots who are now facing a ship thats had its role changed?
im afraid you have to suck it up and move on. sorry bud. |

First off, posting in newbie help is not going to get much of an official response (I don't think I have ever seen a dev post in here).
Second, in the years that I have been playing there have been so many changes that it is not even funny, and in none of those situations has anyone every been refunded or recompensated because they were not happy with the way their stuff worked after the changes.
MMO's change, that is the nature of the business. Unfortunately you are just going to have to adapt and carry on.

So you have, what, ~6-7M SP? I highly doubt you were really using that Myrm to it's full capacity anyway. Besides, it's still going to be a droneboat. I don't understand how this change can make your rigs bad anyway. If they're going to be a bad choice for your ship after the change then they were probably a bad choice for your ship before the change as well... what rigs do you have on it now?

Browse the General discussions forum. I believe i saw something about this very subject (rig reimbursement for ships that are now stuck with rigs no longer benefiting its revised role) a few days ago.

If the Myrmidon is no longer acceptable to you, then see about selling it. Create a contract to sell (item exchange) the ship intact (don't repackage) and someone may be willing to take that ship off your hands. Rigged ships will normally get a much better price than an unrigged ship.
And since this is a "My _____ got nerfed" thread, I guess I'm supposed to say....
Can I have your stuff?

Might not be totally relavent but I'd also like to point out that since the start of this game, the drone skills and drone ships have been changed numerous times. Its like when they run out of things to nerf they all just look at drones again and see what else they can either break, or fix so that they can nerf it again later.

MMORPG's change very frequently, CCP is able to make whatever changes they feel necessary without compensation to you. Although being a new player I'd recommend reading up on contracts and selling your myrmidon yourself.

You don't get compensated when a ship gets nerfed to the usefulness of other ships in its class.

Of course, I did not even have t2 heavies yet, only medium ones.

I have CC + 2xnanopumps rigs, they are not bad at all I used those configuration to tank any lvl 4 mission. But now Myrms have not enough dps for it and such rigging is bad choice for lvl 3s. I hoped to reuse them at my future Ishtar instead and reequip Myrm with 3xCC rigs but well it seems I will have to buy new pack of rigs instead.

It is quite acceptable for me  and I seriously doubt that it is wise to sell Myrmidon currently. It will have a mojor decline in price after patch go live. I bet that prices will set to a true value of new Myrm in a month or two. And then I will probably sell it

I don't want for gms to return money for my Myrm, it served me well and I bet it will serve me in the future. I was interesting in unplugging of rigs from it.

It's real sad stuff like this happens, but I don't think you're likely to get any kind of reimbursement.

Myrm prices wont drop after patch, and if it does, it will be negligible and/or in line with all other comparable sized ship prices due to a change in the ore prices.
With that being said, a Myrm with T2 Meds will still be one hell of a ship. It might not be able to take out BS's as fast, but at least now you'll be able to replace a drone if it gets popped. Which, in my opinion, is a better idea than flying without any replacements.
It's not a horrible rig set up, and will still be able to do lvl 4 missions, but maybe not as fast as a BS sized ship now.
And no, you wont get reimbursed.

I still want to put my Chimera up someone at CCP's a$$ for that one. If there gonna screw me they should at least get some dutch door action.
It is a CARRIER it is supposed to CARRY sh*t. How the hell does it matter what is inside the ships it carries, does a full ship take less space then an empty one? No.
For how smart the people at CCP are they do some plumb dumb things.

You say you are two weeks from ishtar?
Then don't look back on the myrmidon, it served you well, and it will still be an extremely efficient level 3 mission ship.
5 T2 medium drones is the way I've always flown a myrmidon, and not having light drones for frigates and playing the random hit on them with heavies is annoying and dangerous.
Also, with its new gained 150 m3, you should notice that you get more flexibility if you choose to use medium drones, if you're running missions with some mates, you will be able to carry something like 6 med 6 light 6 med maintenance bots. That's the kind of thing that could make a difference. It also allows the same for PvP where your third wing of drones can be whatever you may need (EW drones?).
What I'm not sure of is if battlecruisers were designed to run level 4 missions, it's already flawed here.
PS : take care of your future ishtar, it deserves it!
