I mean Tarminic attacks the forums all the time with depilitation whine posts. And he gets paid for them. So if a little ol frigate goes attacking other ships with electrons its kinda the same thing. whines are consisted of electrons transmited to the target. ewar attacks are just electrons transmitted to the target as well :D Search: Sky Grunthor

Generally the Tech 1 ship classes simply refer to hull types whereas the Tech 2 refer to roles. However, within Tech 2 class names, there is a division between... -ships with very object-oriented names: Logistic cruiser Command ship Transport ship Stealth bomber (covert ops) Mining Barge (t1 exception) -and others with subject-oriented names: Interceptors Heavy Assault ship Interdictors Assault ship Exhumers Marauders Black Ops The objective names tell you precisely what the ship does or is supposed to do. The Stealth bomber uses cloaks for stealth and shoots bombs/big missiles. In many way these types of names are like definitions. The subjective ships have names that do not mean precisely what their role is but rather make an associative step to reach the intended meaning. The Marauders have large cargoholds and low ammo consumption in order to remain behind enemy lines for extended periods, as a pilot in such a ship might maraud in their territory. In many ways these names are like metaphors. I mean, come on, nobody "exhumes" ore. (for serious! "exhume" implies that it has been purposefully buried...) Okay, so this is incredibly nitpicky, but it's important to make a determination whether you want the ship class name to be objective or subjective. "Electronic Attack Ships" is objective and descriptive, it works fine for me. "Electronic Superiority Ships" works as well. For an objective name, I prefer Electronic Attack Ships. For a subjective name, I like Saboteur.

Basically a small dessie, designed for anti-fighter support. In fact, doesn't one of the rookie ship descriptions say that it is barely a frigate, hardly more than a corvette? Or am I thinking of the wrong game again... anyways. EWar Frigate would work for me, or for those purists that have to spell it all out, Electronic Warfare Frigate.

The first thought that'd come to me and probably others is... battle Prowlers of doom. And yes, Prowlers are interesting pvpable ships :P A guy being swarmed by transports... I'd like that mail.

This name is trademarked by me as I invented it for another class of ship and a frigate is hardly a superiority craft. I think electronic support ship is more suitable.
