Especially since it is coming from you. I've been reading the forums for the past week or so, unable to post, but always was fascinated by the "movie star" look of your avatar.
You make all those "unusual" things you have going on look so seamlessly fitting, like your lipstick color or the glasses or the hairstyle (both of which I was playing around with in the creator myself and couldn't get them to work for me). While on many other avatars these things seem to be used to make the character stand out more, but actually look off somewhat, it just looks awesome in your case.
So I'm glad to get the opportunity to give you your own 9.9/10.
(Jealous myself because you make things look good I couldn't get to work, haha) |

For some reason the picture looks better in the small version than the large one.
Chest looks a little over-sized, if that makes any sense XD

Thank you very much. I've changed the background, zoomed in a bit and changed the lighting a bit (probably the reason for the skin looking darker).
As for yourself:
I like the pose, and your composition really works with that background, in my opinion. You seem a bit skinny, though ;)
Also, looking at the large version of the picture, your face seems a bit expressionless. I can't explain it very well.
I'll give you 8/10 because, while I really like it, there's also something off I can't put my finger on. Sorry for not being more constructive :x |

It still somehow looks impressive, haha. I also think you should turn your shoulders a little more in the direction you are facing, might look even more confrontational and supplement your scary look. Though I could be wrong.

I want to find something wrong with your avatar picture, like expression too neutral and boring or something like that. But it's just awesome xD
I love the lips and the face sculpting in general, and freckles with that skin tone look nice, too. I really like pose and cropping, too. Nothing overly fancy, but it's the simple elegance I really like.

The pose and lighting are cool. It's a little dark, but it works for giving you a shady look.
The shades look a little off in the large version of the picture. Might be better without. I think seeing the eyes could add a lot of expression to the face.

In the large version you can see how the bluish light shimmer from the right is cut off at the height of your collar. Looks kinda weird.
Your character looks young but still a little "worn". On the small picture he seems a little arrogant, while on the large version it's more a hint of disgust. The picture shows character, and I quite like it.

I don't agree, Kristina Volkanov doesn't look submissive to me, she seems to be defiant and angry. At least that's how I read the facial expression. Edit: Well, maybe the picture changed since you've rated it, I don't know.
As for Erica: I really like it. The facial sculpting is really nice and I don't see its kind often (except maybe on her sister, hehe). Pose, zoom and lighting bring out the face to its fullest, and the expression is full of character while not being exaggerated.

@Xercodo: I like the pose, could make for a very smug portrait, if the facial expression would be different. Can't decide whether your laughing or being angry or in pain xD so I think it's "crazy". The shadow under your chin/jaw looks a little weird, especially when looking at the large portrait. Background doesn't work very well for me, either.
On the other hand, it's a very recognizable picture.

The facial expression is not very .. eh.. expressive, the pose is relatively boring and your hair seems to be almost merging with the background.
On the other hand your face sculpting is interesting and good, the lighting looks fine, and the little tilt of the head saves the otherwise boring pose at least a bit.

I also don't think the cropping, with the top of the head just about touching the border of the picture, isn't that great.
Aside from that I really like it. The sculpting and expression, even the pose. Lighting and background go well together, there's good contrast, and so on.

I can say, however, that they not only show a remarkably wide range of styles and expression, but usually are way above average in quality, too. (imo)
