Yeah they'll work. I considered these for my new home brewed computer, but eventually went for the Sapphire HD 2600 Pro. It only costs about ú15 more than the x1950, and it's DX10 compatible. Just in case you want to future-proof it for a bit longer. --------------------------------------------------------------------

Just so you are aware... their is a reason that DX10 card is that cheap. It isn't true DX10. Microsoft is releasing the full true version next year, I believe in January. All the original DX10 cards can't run the true DX10, dubbed DX10.1. Wiki I wish I could find the more in depth article I read about it. It talked about the reasons why, something about the card manufactures couldn't develop the hardware in time for vista release or something so they downscaled it.

How likely do you think it is we can convince the terrorists to bomb Microsoft? Seriously now? You want to attack the heart of everything wrong with capitalism, go for its ******* knees via Microsoft.

get the 1950, its faster, and the price difference is negligable, I have a 2600 which is better still, but if eve is all your running you'll be fine for a good long time. ... Why do I PvP? Because I love the feeling I get when I see the pretty lights and know that someone somewhere is screaming incoherently at their computer screen. |
