How difficult is it to get one of these? And for that matter how about the Succubus and the Phantasm? Does the difficulty of getting any of these outweigh the benefits for a laser user? Any insight would be appreciated.

i have all learning 7-8 and this is the learning time it would take me to fly the ship
Succubus -Already can (probally less than a day)
Phantasm -1d 20h
nightmare -11d 9h
T hat would be time, and fction ships = rare and expensive as hell

@Argam.......
I cant really say how hard these are to get. You can be lucky and find a BPC in a wreck (really rare). Or you can get one from the loy points.

the only difficult part about getting almost any faction ships is the money. once you have it you just purchase one of the many available contracts for em.
as for benefits, the nightmare is a pretty sick laser boat for mission running but you need to train up shield tanking skills. not sure if the changes have made it to live or not yet but if not they will be coming in two days or so and the ship is being redesigned signifigantly, instead of being a split weapon system armor tanker its going to be a laser boat shield tanker.

as to actually getting them - you get them as BPC drops from rare-spawns don't you?

I have one and as an armour tanker it's great whether I'll keep it depends on if the price keeps going up. It has all the marauder pros without the 12 sensors NM has 23 sensor rating, the biggest plus is I can fly it without the huge skill train needed of a marauder
Already the prices have risen by 50%

Not all the marauder pros, it doesnt have the tanking bonus. I wouldnt want to face a paladin in pvp with a nightmare .
