thought i'd try an 800mm setup.
been trying 6x800mm 2x malkuth heavy launchers.
em/thermal hardener, shield boost amplifier, xl booster, mwd.
pneumatic stabilizer, 2x coproccessors, 1 warp stab, 2x relays.
while the dmg seems great, i have problems defensively, and the coproccessors kill me.
4 npc cruisers(3 pirate escorts and elena gazky) almost had me dry on cap and shield before croaking.
any suggestions as to improve my setup?
i lack access to bigger named stuff, i'd like a scanning cpu, which means freeing up a midslot, mwd is closest to saying goodbye, but sniff, the speed! also, is a single warp core worth it? thinking i might change the heavies to standards.
this would eventually be a pvp setup(something i have zero experience with), just trying things out.

XL Booster is what kills that setup - try a Large Booster?

Also, you're far better off using range when attacking NPC's.
Try using
6 1400mm's + 2 malkuth's with defenders in hi-slots
em/thermal tac shield, mwd, large shield booster in med, tracking cpu
whatever power diags you need to fit the guns and dmg mods in lo-slot

Get an armor tank and Large cap booster
u will get plenty of space For EW and MWD

yea, i wouldnt use this for permanent npc hunting, but they are easy targets to test things out on :)
i thought you needed 2x armor repairs for it to be worthwhile?
and hm, well, guess i could remove the hardeners then, hmm hmm.

Fit a tec2 CPU , and use the XL booster with tacs.
Dont bother about the large booster, waste of time IMO on a BS for PVP.
MWD will kill u, use tactics to get close. i.e sit at 15k from gates inline with other gate.

Good for hunting Serpentis I reckon, without the MWD.
I'd go for 5 relays and one damage mod. Should be able to run a Large C5-L non stop. And use Siege Launchers, should be plenty of powergrid and CPU.
Your 425mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes some nublar, wrecking for 1155.0 damage. |
