I checked out some of the builds and so far this one is the most interesting.
Highs: 3x 150mm Scout Autocannons - Whatever ammo is appropriate. EMP S works most of the time. 1x Rocket (Named if possible) - Whatever ammo is appropriate.
Mids: 1x Medium Shield Extender I 2x Shield Resistance Amplifiers I
Lows: 3x Shield Power Relays I
I want to do level 1 and 2 missions but I'm not sure if this will work. Can anybody suggest a better build or an upgrade to this build? I have about 25,000,000 to use on this rifter and I'm willing to train for months to get perfect skills for this rifter.

If your willing to train for a month or two try getting into an assualt frigate such as a wolf or a jag..
I dont fly minmatar ships alot but id armor tank it. |

I want to use a normal frigate only, not very expensive and if it blows up I can just get another one and continue what I was doing plus I like a challenge so I'd rather use this frigate for level 1 and 2 missions.

25mil on a rifter? O.o Even I don't spend that on rifters! :P
Unfortunately I only really know about PvP fits, not that into missions myself, but I'd say drop the resist amps, stick an invuln field and an afterburner in there. The ab's there to get you in range for your AC's and the invuln field is so you don't lose all resists on your shields. ----------------------------------------------

I never PvE'd in Rifters either, but here are the thoughts.
You need something in mid. to make you go faster. Zoom-zoom. I don't care if you put afterburner or MWD. Just stuff something in. Rifters also just don't have enough slots to waste on passive hardeners too, imo. Most people seem to speed-tank it. I never got the shieldtank thing working on Rifter (despite being Caldari and having almost maxed-out skill in shield anyway) anyway. Armor rep to patch you up every now and then, but no shieldie. If you start taking too much hits, it's time to back off and patch that thing up with more chewing gum.
So from top of my head, this is the basic outline/template:
HIGH: 3x 150mm/200mm ACs 1x thing of your choice (rocket/nos is popular)
MID: 1x Afterburner/MWD 2x thing of your choice
LOWS: 1x DCU 2x thing of your choice
My Rifter setup (which I sometimes use to rat in 0.0 when I get bored) was: HIGH: 3x 200mm AC w/ EMP S 1x Small Nos
MID: 1x MWD 1x Stasis Web 1x Cap Recharger
LOW: 1x DCU 1x Small Armor Rep (to patch up, not to tank!) 1x Nanofiber/Overdrive (depending on what's available. I hear plates and/or i-stabs work too)
Haven't flown Rifter for months, so I probably am wrong here and there, but bleh... -------- MAIDS. Now with black, frilly uniforms. And I mean black, frilly uniforms. |

HIGH: 3x150mm II, rocket launcher
MID: AB II , med extender II, passive or active hardener (not invulnerable field, it will molest your capacitor)
LOW: 3xSPR II
You may need to drop to named for some mods or forgo the rocket launcher to make this setup fit.
You need the AB to catch the rats in any reasonable length of time however for the most part theres no sense in speed mods as you can avoid any fire thats possible to avoid with an afterburner alone.
You can replace one SPR II with a PDS II if you find your setup to be draining your cap too much (i suspect 3 SPRs with a passive hardener will be better than 2 SPRs and 1 PDS with an active hardener as long as your shield compensation skills are at least 3 but i may be wrong).
For certain missions (the thief) i had to switch out the AB for another hardener and use overdrives to catch up with the rats but that was just one or two specific circumstances. I warn you that you shouldnt accept blockade level 2 with a rifter and even human cattle level 2 is extremely hard and tedious with warpouts.
The difficulty in most missions are the destroyers, some strong frigates and missile fire. Once you eliminate the destroyers your task will become a lot easier as you can avoid most cruiser fire by simply flying intelligently and taking into account your transversal.
As said this setup also works extremely well with AFs all the way up to level 3s as they have the capacitor and the slots to field a much better tank while putting out more dps to boot. I would say my wolf (or jag with 2 gyros for angel missions) rips through level 3s at the speed of a medium skilled drake pilot.

Which shield hardeners(?) should I use in level 1 and 2 missions?

Level 1s really shouldn't be a problem. Damages are pathetic and rats go pop like popcorns in microwave.
As for level 2s, it depends on which faction you're fighting. Serpentis deals thermal most, for example, so one would assume it'd be wise to fit thermal hardener, while Guristas deal kinetic, etc. etc. -------- MAIDS. Now with black, frilly uniforms.
P.S. ECMs got boost, boohoo! Now, didn't I hear some forum-*****s go on about "adapt or die" when it was nerfed? |
