This saturday/sunday im off to a mates house, were getting drunk, playing poker, playing drinking games, getting take out, having more drinks then watching the boxing.
My hearts with hatton, i hope he beats the brains out of mayweather to put him in his place.
However, hatton bleeds easy and this may cause him the match (alongside mayweather is a damn good boxer).
Hatton (my opinion) has to take out/deal enough damage within the first 2-4 rounds to win the fight or else mayweather is going to use his range and power to wear Hatton down.
Whos your money on? Who do you want to win?

I have been waiting for this for a long time..
Hatton does bleed but Mayweather's hands are not in a good way. Hopefully it get's decided on neither.
It will be a long fight. I think Hattons body work will be the key..hopefully producing a postive result for the hitman..
Can't wait..

I hope to god Hatton caves his head in. Mayweather is the epitome of*****y bastard. Any man who refers to himself in the 3rd person deserves to get beaten badly
but I think it will be a tough fight for him to win.

Mayweather being the best fighter ever thats not true yet, but you need to respect his style. You may call it running, but he is simply the smarter fighter. He can n will swarm all over you given the chance, ex. watch the Gatti or N'dou match. When he can't slug with you, he will stay away, time his shots to perfection and either weaken you then come in for the KO, or just take the fight on decision. I wish he was a more daring boxer, but I understand the personal satisfaction of never losing.

Yea, hatton just needs to get in witihn the first few rounds brawler style and do enough damage so mayweather doesnt recover.
Im not doubting mayweathers ability,i just dont like him nor his style.

I think this will be a classic. 2 contrasting styles with Mayweather the fighter for the boxing purists and Hatton for the power and haed on approach fans. I cannot pick a winner, I hope Hatton does it, but the speed of Mayweather's hands could open him up and leave him loosing to a cut.
Hatton on the other hand does awesome body work and this will slow a boxer down better than anything else. All in all, looks like a great fight, I just hope it lives up to all the hype now. -----------------------------------------------

Nice to see you backing up your opinion with some action.
If you're so confident of Mayweather's impending victory, surely you'd be willing to offer odds... after all, evens on Hatton when you're sure he's going to lose is hardly fair.
I'd be interested in a 100 million ISK bet on Hatton's victory, but I'd like odds... say 6/4 as that seems to be the current price.
That way, if I win, I can afford to buy a new BS (and fittings) to chase you guys in next time you war dec what you think is an industrial corp with no pvp'ers.
Offer open to you Rialtor right up until the fight kicks off. Post here if you accept.

I'm not sure May Weather will win. If I were to put percentages on it, I'd say 60-65%-35-40%. So I'm making a even value bet because they are sure :).
And I can't really bet more than 100 mill, that's all I have right now. That's why I'm betting 10 mill to the above posters. If I had more I'd bet more :), and can't spend the day mission running cause I'm going to a wedding...ironically, I'm going to miss the fight, which sucks.

Yeah basically -
if it goes the distance, Mayweather probably wins
if Hatton cuts up early, Mayweather probably wins
but if Hatton gets the big body shots in like in his last fight, Mayweather might crumple in around 6th or so.
Any points thing will go to Mayweahter though - those judges don't get confused by the nutty British crowd!

Yeah. I have no interest in boxing. None. But I read the posts and did a Google on the event, and it looks like it should be a good fight. Edited by: Rialtor on 09/12/2007 05:45:23 Very arrogant, I've always found Mayweather odd. Most arrogant people tend to let it show up in their training. But Mayweather has the drive to stay on his game. It's odd to see someone with that kind of dedication, but at the same time show that sort of immaturity.
For all his arrogance, he's a masterful boxer. Not unbeatable, I personally think Paul Williams would stomp on mayweather.
Edit: I actually enjoyed the betting, perhaps I'll do it again on some other fight. I'm also an MMA fan if you guys are interested :).

Wouldn't of changed the outcome of the fight but that ref was pathetic, mayweather was ducking under the waist and he was blaming hatton for it, Also early rounds he wouldn't let hatton fight on the inside, everytime they got close ref pulled them apart, wasn't until later rounds the ref let him fight on the inside. If twas a good fight, suprised at the end how sportsman like mayweather was, instead if being the arragonat ***** he normally is, he came up said good fight and all that.

Tom Jones sang God Save the Queen properly. Short, loud and passionate. Your fella went on for half hour and was a right poser. I was booing at home.
Anyway booing the anthems just a bit of panto, you're over sensitive. Pffft Americans (ie. brash and obnoxious) lecturing about class is ludicrous.

Awesome fight. I was hoping Hatton would win. I think if Hatton had been allowed to get close and punch in the early rounds it may have been a different outcome. As it was the ref was telling Ricky to back off every time he closed. At least Mayweather was gracious in his victory. Shame there is little chance of a rematch.

Are you guys actual boxing fans, or just British Franchise fans? I'd be willing to lay down more isk in the future. I wouldn't mind laying some isk down vs. Calzaghe, I'm sure you'll be up for that. Depends on the next opponent though.
And if you follow MMA, I'd lay some money against Bisping depending on the opponent.
i will bet money on Calzaghe no matter what 'legend' or 'star' you americans face off against him, the guy is class. So when his next major fight comes around (which is next year in vegas hopefully!) send me a mail and i will bet with you!

At this rate, it looks like the opponent might be either Taylor/Pavlik/Roy Jones. I'd be up for some action on either one, depends on how Jones look though, personally I think he still has the tools to compete, he's just all messed up mentally.
