yesterday evening, well 3:30 am est, a corp mate and i flying a scorp and raven, with a bb on our wing were flyin around and warped to the 93pi gate in gm-, to our suprise there was an indy and a maller. we started opening fire as this was a battle we wouldn't lose, and to even more to our suprise, THEY WERE AFK!!!! WTF WERE U DOING AFK AT A GATE IN 0.0???? thx for the garbage loot to btw.

Ask your corpmates, I heard one of them lost an armageddon (borrowed) AFK at a gate, he fell asleep

Just podded a Kestrel pilot who has been AFK at a planet in a 0.0 system. In my Vigil  .

Yeah and just got an afk Indy who had a Tempest as escort in my Vigil too. Too bad that the Tempest pilot got a good shot off while I was checking the loot.

lol @ dart, i got a suprise for u next time we meet buddy...haha...was just wierd to find both of them afk, wasn't just 1 with the other covering or anything...i was stupid st*ned at the time also, just made me laugh. thought i'd shard

My CEO has found and stolen six or seven ships. And I don't mean just shuttles ... not sure if he'd like me sharing details, but let's just say they were significant finds. He's a bit of a fanatic, though--he searched for one of these empty ships for over four hours. He's been known to take a couple of hours to find empty shuttles just because he likes to steal ships.
Edit: oh, my point was, it's amazing how foolish some people can be. Going AFK in 0.0, parking ships in "findable" locations ... serves them right.

maybe they were new to 0.0 and thought that the gate would look after them.
hahahaha some people just dont think before they act.
Unless it was a named 0.0 system, since they do have sentry guns.

Not in 0.0 they wont. You know lots of people dont even enter empire space in weeks of time these days do you ?

wondered when that would pop up.
think my BS lasted 10seconds of lag fueled fun then a black screen, after that i really thought about quiting the game.
hope u invested the isk wisely.

The best part is the eve-mail you get 5 minutes later that reads: WTF DUDE I WAS AFK I WILL SPEND ALL MY LIFE HUNTING YOU DOWN YOU WILL DIE EVIL DOER

I got a caracal last night in Xetic Space. The guy left his ship orbiting a gate.
I sadisticaly tested cruise missile combination on him.
The loot was good too  .

some weeks later the same happened to me at the hands of your nearest and dearest
****loads of missiles against me + Jammed + warpscrammbled = Slideshow and no fun.
But hell, I play for the good times and those bad ones dont really happen that much (or so I try to tell myself)

hmm intresting thread... but oh so typical of the newer eve generation.. thinking that this game is so safe... and that nobody's going to harm them... or that concord will protect them.. to bad so sad, sucks to be you, but this game is a bit worse than RL. most of those in game greave people to vent frustration from days gone past type. or are just butthead types that do it to vent other problems on the world of eve. or cause i can kill people for the hell of it type. no matter which type you are. eve is not the safe warm cozy place you dream about... and in 0.0 space it's even worse  .. i had this guy in heild camping the station i was in for over a week to avenge his podding.. hm forget his name, tho i didn't forget his corp, The Whitesand Consortium.. that was fun with 0verkill, and i'd do it again and again... tho makes you think why would they be out in .3 space with no combat support? and let a cruiser and a frigate pod kill the ceo of the corp?? hm, oh i fall into the catagory of killing cause i can type what type are you?
