Has anyone else had a look at these and seen a huge difference in effectiveness? I don't see the point of the sentinel (amarr) bonus's to energy vamp since the last NOS nerf. Energy Neut is neet but will it really serve any purpose on these ships other than neuting interceptors? The caldari one on the otherhand looks awesome.
Is anyone excited by these ships at all, and do you plan to use them?

I flew the gallente (keres) EAF on test a bit. I found it to actually work really well. Doesn't do much damage, but it has 5 mids (i fit mwd, 24k point, 3 damps) so the e-war capabilities are pretty good, and it went 3k m/s, which was very handy for getting range.
I can atleast see the keres being an alternative to inty's for tackling. The three damps makes it possible to tackle without putting yourself in harms way as much as a close range inty. Although witht eh new slot layout for the ares, I'm pretty sure everyone will just fly those now for tackling=P

exactly. why fly a 20mil frig that doesn't go faster than 3km/sec when you can go for a 8mil frig that can go at nearly the double of that speed?
also to the OP:
check griffin base targeting range and check kitsune's base targeting range. ---

My experience from the test server is that the Sentinels are very nasty little buggerrs if you're in a smaller ship.
The Hyena is my favorite. The Keres is nice, but to a faster ship it dies very quickly. Hyenas and Keres working together in a gang (or fleet) would be damn nice.

I am thinking of using the Keres, same amount of midslots as the celestis and possibly more survivable than the celestis against larger ships, I will definately give it a try.

Except the damp nerf made damps pretty damn weak, less so for the keres but dont expect to hold down more than 1 cruiser/ a few frigs. ---------------------------------
