Originally by: blake fallout as i said graphic card not my thing cpu's okay!!! <not for a while though) so np if i had got a 8600 nivida card in my laptop would have been a bonus :P
Sorry? The gfx chip is WEAK, the rest is ok but I stuck a 7200rpm hard drive in my year 2000 laptop. Unless you intend to game/video edit there is a point where you dont NEED more horsepower in a machine.
okay np, like i said im going to buy a desktop in march to play aoc, since it was delayed i got a laptop instead (best deal) but i will be getting a top range one sli, quad, (prob 9000 series nivda if make one befour march) so im not bothered either way, this is by far the best computer i have had in 11 years so dont be so quick to judge laptops thier getting as good as computer now.

Sorry to seem so harsh but I feel the need to break certain misconceptions.

How many years ago? I started building them when I was 12 so thats back in the PII days, I got my PII 400mhz to 452mhz, then I watched for a bit and came back with a 1.4ghz thunderbird core athlon, that was so hot I left it at stock, then I got an athlon xp barton 2500 and oced it to 3200 speeds, but it would not go much further so I waited a bit and got a 2400 xp mobile. That reached 2.4ghz at the stock voltage of a 3200/2500 and reached 2.6ghz at a push. There have been a few between them and the E6750 I have at 3.7ghz atm.
So yes too much further back from the Pentium I era and you would probably have been able to best my CPU knowledge. ---------------------------------

The only reason Bioshock was able to be patched for SM2 is that the original engine from Unreal Tournament had SM2 support but was not enabled / maintained during the development. EVE uses some custom engine.. a patch for SM2 is probably never going to happen.
