Ok, here is a concern regarding the Torps that hadn't struck me until today.
POS Launchers - now have a 100km range with Torps? Makes them virtually unuseable because an opposing BS fleet or dread fleet coule easily sit 75km on the other side of the POS and would never be in range for the Torp launchers.
CCP - please modify the Torp launchers to compensate so that they are atleast useable for POS defenses.
I tried to post this in a different Torp Nerf thread - but of course everyone is just concerned upon the effect on Ships.... which I don't give a damn about... but the effect on POS launchers is something that I would very much like to know if this is intended or not.

Even so, what NEW is to replace their role? They change torps drasticly after how many years?
They ADDED heavy assault missiles. They CHANGED torpedos. Sounds like they got lazy and didn't want to add another set of modules and charges.

Just to be clear - I am not against the Torp changes in general, infact I think they are a good thing for a number of reasons, but I am concerned about the negative effect upon the POS arrays which use them - especially since they don't even get the 25% ROF bonus that the ship launchers get. (but I'd much rather have range so that they are actually feasible... and if I could make a suggestion - increase the speed multiplier of the Torps to 10, they'd still lose some range, but would be useable).

They now fulfill the same role as Blaster, Autocannon and Pulse Laser batteries, so I think it's intended and I'm not really expecting them to change anything. The answer would be to use Cruise Missile launchers , same as using Artillery, Railguns and Beam Lasers.

In general, you are probably right... but at the same time CCP did compensate ship Torp users with a decrease in the RoF of 25%, it would be nice if POS arrays were given something to offset the dramatic change in the usefullness of Torps. Refitting a POS is somewhat more complex than refitting a ship - especially when the POS is located in 0.0.
