Ok so i've been wondering how interceptors work. I know they are easier to fly at high speeds than other ships but is it possible to get a close orbit with a mwd on? Also i was wondering how is best to fit and fly short range intys.
Advice appreciated.

Close range interceptors also move away from the mic to breathe in. Unless you know 100% what you're getting into, you shouldn't fly a close range fit on a ceptor. Most pilots like to fit long range guns and orbit between 15km and 24km.

my inty's will be used for wars and roaming gangs. all advice towards war and gang fighting appreciated. By all means include what ship is best for this type of flying and including a setup would be well appreciated.

If you are in a bigger roaming gang you shouldnt be afraid of getting into a close range setup inty if youre not DEAD poor. But cmon inties are cheap.
I would definately suggest you look into a malediction. It can if needed tackle from 28km range with T2 disruptor, its fast, tough (high armor resists), rockets reach up to 29km with javs or you can go web range and web stuff and use rage rockets to do damage. Slap a repper on it and its friggin wicked do-it-all-in-one-fit inty imo. Cheap too.
Id fit it like
3xrocket launchers 1xnos
1xmwd 1xweb 1x24km disrupt
2xcap relay (this is a bit of a taste thing, i like the extra cap for repping etc. speed mods would work also depending on how you fly this thing) 1xrepper
2xspeed rigs -------------------------------------------- InLogOffskiWeTrust |
